Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

Interesting if true. And also a darn shame. I've always liked Cavill in the role...

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

Saw it today. It's hilarious! Even the poop joke made me laugh (sorry?), and there are a ton of Easter Eggs spread throughout the film.

Shame it doesn't appear to have been catching on much BO wise, but the budget for this one was apparently fairly small at $10 million, so it should be fine.

Re: New Popular Film Oscar

I'd argue those movies are still capable of being quite popular? So long as they're capable of capturing "awards season traction"... The problem is you can't do that with ten smaller films each year. But a good number of them still "break out." Heck, even Million Dollar Baby--whi...

Re: "Wreck-It Ralph"

Any chance of Disney getting Mario characters for this movie went down the toilet after Universal negotiated with Nintendo for months over getting the rights to the franchise for Illumination.

Re: New Popular Film Oscar

Wait, Vi is vouching for the end of the most important Oscar category on this website? ;) But regarding the news of the "new award," this is dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, DUMB! It wouldn't kill the Academy to nominate so-called "popular" films in the Best Picture category. Now we're as...

Re: The Simpsons

I'm pretty sure Disney has seen the episodes where The Simps has made fun of them. ;) (Heck, they even tried to sue Family Guy for less, and they own that now too!)

They're also almost certainly going to make a joke about it.

Re: 1986 Transformers the movie returns to the big-screen!

The Transformers movie is such an odd duck. Even by today's standards, it's extremely violent for a supposed "kids film," and I'm guessing the only way Hasbro possibly got away with it was because "they were robots." I am loving how Bumblebee looks. It looks extremely close to th...

Re: The new Jungle Book

This movie was definitely meant to be seen on the big screen due to its eye candy aspect, but then again, I don't see why films should "premiere" on Netflix anyway, as it strikes me as money being left on the table. And Disney's doing the same thing for their LATT remake. Doesn't make sens...
