Re: YouTube Goodness

Terrific animation in this recent Coke commercial...

Also, not sure how many people watch the Disney Tsum Tsum shorts, but everyone here should get a pretty big kick out of this one...

Re: Disney Removes Louis C.K. from Gravity Falls

Hirsch was apparently told by Disney to re-do the voice or they would stop airing the series of episodes Louis C.K. was in.

Re: Disney Removes Louis C.K. from Gravity Falls

A Bug's Life was shown on Disney Junior last Sunday, so apparently this is no longer an issue of concern for Disney?

Re: DuckTales: The Movie "Widescreen" question

Thanks, Ben. :) Very helpful answer. Guess I should try to find that edition on ebay somewhere down the road.

DuckTales: The Movie "Widescreen" question

So I recently came into possession of DuckTales: The Movie on DVD. It's presented in "anamorphic widescreen" and looks fine...except for one thing. The film often looks...crowded. Like it looks okay, but if Disney were to have cropped the sides of the image for it on VHS, there's no way it...

Disney Removes Louis C.K. from Gravity Falls

I don't want to be terrible or anything, but does anyone else think this might be a bit...much? I mean what does this mean for whenever Disney Channel shows A Bug's Life again? *insert Christopher Plummer joke here* https://www.rollingstone.com/tv/news/disney-redubs-louis-ck-gravity-falls-voice-role...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

All in all, I liked TFA more...which is apparently popular opinion. Also, that "riding llamas to destroy Vegas planet" sequence was...yeah. I'll say more for my year end review, and then may post more thoughts here after that. But it is notable that Mark Hamill was apparently really unhapp...

You've failed us all, James.

You didn't include Rock Dog on the poll.

Re: Coco

;)

Lasseter's credit is pretty prominent, as it is on all Disney and Pixar releases these days. Whether or not he will still make the credits of The Incredibles 2 (which I think comes out during his leave of absence?) remains to be seen.

Re: Coco

Coco is terrific. Easily Pixar's best film since Inside Out. Granted, that might not mean much to some people, but this definitely fell into the "great Pixar" category rather than "better than I thought it might be" one that films like Monsters University might fall under, and it...

Re: 2017 Best Animated Feature

From what I've heard, Hasbro has apparently been none too happy with how Lionsgate has handled the film, particularly when it to marketing, which ended up falling almost entirely on the shoulders of merchandise. Lionsgate also bizarrely released the film on a fraction of the screens an animated movi...

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

I've heard it's very similar to the Justice League cartoon series in terms of humor and action. But I also think at this point some critics are going despise Snyder regardless of what kind of film he makes. Watchmen was not "turned into a video game" by Snyder, nor was it made into a "...

There's only been one Rio sequel. And it was made before Ice Age "left" as you word it.
