Re: Official Star Wars Thread

Quick take on Solo: it's fun! And that should be enough to satisfy most fans, especially after the arguably overly cynical tone of The Last Jedi.

Re: The new Jungle Book

Well, here's the trailer for Mowgli, and it looks...like the 2016 Disney version?

Re: Avengers and the MCU

I'm trying not to read anything about those comics (going to be hard to do so for a year, but I'll try), but from my understanding, these films are extremely loose adaptations. In any case, if anyone does want to talk about those comics here, maybe use "hide" for those posts? That would be...

Re: Toy Story 4

Speaking as someone who took that tour, I can assure it didn't feel "awkward" at all around the crowd.

But seriously, Eric, might be time to take a chill pill.

Re: Toy Story 4

Polar Express had an IMAX 3D release, not a standard theatrical one. The Nightmare Before Christmas didn't come out in 3D until 2006, an entire year after Chicken Little. Chicken Little was doing well until the release of Harry Potter 4. It wouldn't have been number one two weeks in a row based only...

Re: Toy Story 4

That makes it sound as though JL was making enemies from the beginning. Which in a way I suppose he was. There was some talk of people being "frustrated" over JL trying to take over Meet the Robinsons when it was nearly finished, but those were rumors that I don't think were ever verified?...

Re: Condorito & other miscellaneous animated fare

Ironically, its release was ruined in the states by the US boycotting the Olympics that year (which I think is why it became a TV special instead).

Re: Toy Story 4

It sounds from what I've heard like it was a "boundaries thing" more than anything, in that he apparently liked hugging people who didn't want to be hugged. But then there was that story about the Tinker Bell fairies, so I don't know. In any case, it didn't bode well for Pixar's already co...
