Re: Gi joe Snake eyes solo movie in the works!

Looks like someone at Paramount/Hasbro is counting all the "solo franchise spinoff" money "Bumblebee" hasn't made yet--
They're off the Transformers (and space-toys) for the moment, but there's still that Plan B of GI Joe & M.A.S.K. to try and pull Hasbro Films out of the fire.

Re: YouTube Goodness

Vi...was quite impressed how they did kind of know most of those songs, even the earliest ones; the scores didn’t always tally with what they knew even if they couldn’t name it. Kind of does show how the reissue and remake plan does make those old films new again...but I’ll bet most knew Bare Neces...

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

I will bet they’re hoping Aquaman will deliver THIS December. Why would they wait until next December...!? (Are these nitpicks actually funny? Because on this end, they're sort of like conversational road-bumps, like King Arthur having to listen about swallows or autonomous collectives.) Basi...

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

Or, basically: let’s go in the current zeitgeist direction of what sucked the least in the DCU... ;) At the moment, Warner is on their "Franchise Wave 2.0", as they've finally come to grips that their "Holy Trinity" of Batman, The Hobbit, and Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts have a...

I think sony will be fine.

(Gee, I thought Sony stopped paying off "social media" posters, back in the 00's...)

Re: Article on all the Disney live action remakes of animated classics

I've never understood the appeal of these, either. :| To this day, the only one I've seen was Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland (which itself really came across as more of a live-action 'sequel' to the original story). Even though it was actually Disney's attempt to salvage that Wes Craven horror-mo...

Re: Wreck-It Ralph 2

I do have one minor quibble with this type of humor though. Will it age well? The many, many, many references to companies and memes and the like that are popular today may make this film feel embarrassingly dated in a few years. One thing I found dated: The "Princess scene" that the fans...

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

Jerry Beck has indicated that this may our final chance to show support for a classic animation release from Warner Archive. We will only get further chances if this one sells. (He said the awesome Porky Pig set just broke even, which isn't good enough. :( ) So don't delay--- order NOW! :) I know t...

Re: Wreck-It Ralph 2

Ralph, Vanellope and New Hip-Trendy Social-Media Character discuss the issue ...AT LENGTH, in the movie and the trailer-- EDIT: Okay, so just saw it, and that whole scene was cut out of the picture (and just referred to in a later bit of dialogue). So, just...take their word for it. (Oh, and if you ...

Re: Black Friday Christmas Specials Invasion Returns!

I'm trying to start a new tradition -- If you're talking about trampling strangers outside of Wal-Mart at midnight, and buying strategically overpriced big-screen TV's and iPhones to show off, it's "Black Friday", If you're talking about Christmas specials premiering the day after Thanksgi...

Re: YouTube Goodness

Well, here it is. The extremely hard to find full trailer for Mulan which Disney never included in any of its DVD releases. I saw this in theaters before Paulie as a kid and was pretty blown away by how "serious" it was. Interesting that the trailer has no Mushu or any of the film's jokes...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service (Disney Play)

That's a great point. Still seems a little odd to see it up there with the likes of Marvel and Star Wars though. But like those, I wonder if Disney is going to go all in with NatGeo, maybe somehow working their DisneyNature brand in there with it. IIRC--from being on the frontlines of the Blu-vs-HD...

Even the poster suggests the story will be the same second-generation DW-wannabe "They don't like us, 'cause we're not perfect! " picked-on-freak-flag theme we not only got from Trolls, but also from Sony's Emoji Movie. In case you've ever wondered all these years, folks, THIS is one of th...
