Re: DISNEY BUYS 20TH CENTURY FOX

I actually feel the exact opposite as you regarding the superhero films. All the X-Men films feel exactly the same to me just with different plot points, while each MCU movie almost feels like a different genre. Captain America 1 was a war movie, CA 2 was a spy thriller, 3 was a more traditional tea...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

I don’t think most people eye roll “diversity” in film. I think they eye roll bad/blatant diversity. Spider and Star Wars didn’t feel forced. The people in it fit naturally and really could have been played by anyone. Their race/gender wasn’t their reason for being. Other films almost feel like they...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

I think they said in the first one that Luke left to look for the original Jedi temple after the fiasco with Ben.

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

Like TFA, I had some issues with plot contrivances, and I don’t like how they resolved some of the questions from that first film, but overall really enjoyed it.

Re: Sing

Wow. I think I missed getting a review up for this despite seeing it opening weekend. It was Christmas I believe so probably why I didn't get it done. But looking over my notes now, I had planned to pan it. I don't remember it much but according to what I wrote at the time: -- bland, inoffensive -- ...

MoviePass lowers subscription price - dramatically!

I joined a service called MoviePass back in 2013. It's kinda like Netflix for theatres. You pay a monthly subscription fee and can then go see one movie per day. I wrote a couple of articles about it back then: http://animatedviews.com/2013/moviepass-how-it-works/ http://animatedviews.com/2013/movie...

Disney World's Happily Ever After

Disney movie fans and/or Disney World fans need to set aside 18 minutes to watch this video of the park's new nighttime show which debuted this weekend. It is absolutely stunning. They literally animate the castle! And they didn't just focus on the most popular characters and songs for this show - t...
