Re: Sing

Dude, I read it before posting here. I did know we shared some of the same sentiment. That's why I bought it in the first place. :)

Re: Sing

73% now on Rotten Tomatoes, for what it's worth. Their consensus sounds fair enough: Sing delivers colorfully animated, cheerfully undemanding entertainment with a solid voice cast and a warm-hearted -- albeit familiar -- storyline that lives up to its title. Again, I came at it with pretty low expe...

Re: Sing

Based on Ben's recommend, I looked into this film, which I was initially wary of. It looked too... "DreamWorks finale," as Eric and others have noted. Amazon's recent blow-out one-day sale of the 3D version got me to bite. And... wow. Where did THAT come from?! Based on the enjoyable but s...

Re: Peter Rabbit (2018)

I thought you guys were over-reacting.... until I actually watched the trailer.

Oh. My. Lord.

There is just... no reason for this.

Why even name it after Potter's creation?

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

Thanks for that Scoop. I might have to preorder, then. But yeah, quite awesome news! I do wonder how many of these I already have, between the many LDs, DVDs, and BDs in the ol' collection. But then, who cares? Having every Porky in one set is pretty great. Actually, there are supposedly dozens of c...

And it feels very good to hear it, too!

DC/Warner desperately needed this to be great. So did the fans.

Not everyone's favourite Bond, perhaps, but he seemed so classy nonetheless. Hard to believe he was 89.

R.I.P.!

Yes, the same word that came to mind for me. Just an awful time for his family. He is doing the only thing he can--- he and his family need each other now.

Incredibly, Joss Whedon is to finish Snyder's work on the film.

Re: Why Sword in the Stone remains the definitive King Arthur movie

I haven't seen a few of those, but I suspect that we are indeed still waiting to see the ultimate King Arthur movie. I think Excalibur comes close, while films like First Knight tried to reinvent things too much. But what about 1954's Knights of the Round Table? Again, I haven't seen it, but it look...

Re: Why Sword in the Stone remains the definitive King Arthur movie

Well, no. Just no. Even the article calls it a "crummy" film.

Wart being Arthur was a twist? That's news to me.

Wart is only King for a few seconds in the film. How could it possibly be the definitive King Arthur film? Wart, sure. King Arthur, no.

I'll go with Excalibur.

Re: UPDATED! AV Countdown for iPhone, Windows Phone, and Android

Nice job. I only wish that I was more excited for these films to come out. I will enjoy some of them, I'm sure. But not one makes me feverish with anticipation.
