Re: Disney Movie Rewards

Looks like they've been hacked. Got an email from Temu Pallet, with the header "Dear Daniel, claim your gift". Didn't think much of it and thought it was just spam, until clicking on it shows it's from Insiders legit email address with their template. Looking around online shows I'm not the only on...

This is so disappointing and stupid. Between this and Splash Mountain, Disney is out to erase its past.

And what really annoys me is that I gave my originals away years ago when I got hardcover versions of the stories!
Good thing you got those hardcovers, though, isn't it? Jeez.

Re: Walt Disney Treasures

Maybe when he said "37" he slightly misremembered by thinking of a couple of future waves that he had in mind? He probably had a "People and Places" set in mind, some of the other "mini-series" from Walt Disney Presents i.e. "Texas John Slaughter" or "Daniel Boone" ...? They are/were an excellent se...

Yeah, they never stopped - they're just a bit difficult to find in the US because of the disappearing brick & mortar stores.

Re: HBO Max Looney tunes and Hanna barbera Shows!

I have yet to understand their layout of the "seasons" as it is anyway, even the ones that are left. They have the "episodes" within the "seasons" numbered, but there are gaps in the numbering ... I noticed even before they purged the 50s cartoons. What is/was going on with that??

Re: The DOCTOR WHO Thread

I've been watching it every week and I've really been enjoying it. I'm actually really psyched for the finale this weekend, judging by the previews ... they showed a scene that got me really excited to see it, for the first time in a while. And then we get a special on New Years Day, I think.

Re: Best Spielberg movie score?

One thing I got to thinking about while looking at all of the options, and one of the fun things about soundtracks: sometimes you can find a soundtrack for a film that is a lot more fun to listen to than watching the movie.

Re: Metv Showing bugs bunny, popeye & tom & jerry!

I wonder if "The Lone Ranger" in that list is the Format Films cartoon from the late 60s?? I'd dearly love to see that released on disc, but doesn't seem likely. Failing that, I wish an American cable network would show them again.

Re: The DOCTOR WHO Thread

I've enjoyed her episodes, but I was starting to wonder - because they talk about this "rule of 3 years" but really, which the long gaps between productions, she's actually been "The Doctor" for longer than that. You can understand someone wanting to move on.
