Re: YouTube Goodness

This might seem a bit insane but for some reason I've always loved the last scene of Batman and Robin (well, except the VERY last part LOL). Everything feels so much more natural and the actors actually seem to have a bit of chemistry together. Plus Michael Gough could NEVER give a bad performance, ...

Re: Toy Story 4

New trailer looks very sweet and surprisingly dramatic! I’m excited! (And yeah it definitely does seem like many tears will be shed. )

Re: YouTube Goodness

OK, just want to say right off the bat that this is NOT a real movie. But it's d*** convincing, at first I was definitely fooled by it! :) (Fresh Prince of Bel Air as a gritty coming-of-age drama called "Bel Air".)

Re: YouTube Goodness

Kinda random but with all the talk of remakes I couldn't help but think of these two films: Psycho, dir. Alfred Hitchcock, 1960. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9mJ2oBONug Psycho, dir. Gus Van Sant, 1998. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdrzHL9BHoY Both clips are from the "A Boy's Best Friend ...

Re: X-Men Movies Thread

Oh wow...2015 F4 levels??? That’s even worse than I thought! :? And yeah, there was this story from the British movie site Metro about a year back that quoted an apparently legit forum user who’d said that *mild spoiler* he’d just seen an early preview of the film, and that Last Stand scenes were re...

Re: Article on all the Disney live action remakes of animated classics

Yes, Michael Keaton, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated actors ever. :) Also, not that this really matters, but I actually saw the Beauty and the Beast Broadway show in 1996. It was fun and everything and I enjoyed the musical numbers, but all in all it was more or less a carbon copy of th...

Re: Article on all the Disney live action remakes of animated classics

Yeah, I definitely see the points you guys are making. Plus I didn’t really consider the whole issue with the Beauty and the Beast stage show on Broadway. That was not only live-action but also, as with these new remakes, had very little new material (although there was a bit here and there.). There...

Re: Article on all the Disney live action remakes of animated classics

The weird thing is that I actually think the Aladdin trailer looks kind of fun (and is very impressive visually); plus the acting seems at least adequate. But two real problems I have: It’s kind of disrespectful to two extremely talented people who have passed on: A.). Howard Ashman: I realize a lot...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

All in all, though, it’s pretty amazing that this is actually happening. I’d assumed long ago that the days of giving the masses relatively easy access to so much classic material went out with the end of the Disney Channel golden days. Happily eating crow! Lol. :)

Oh wow Dacey I didn’t even think about that. That’s a very interesting question. It’ll certainly be fascinating to see the issues that unfold, and how Disney decides to play it.
