Re: Article on all the Disney live action remakes of animated classics

Just ugh. Poor Terry. :( https://screenrant.com/aladdin-movie-writer-disney-live-action-remake/ I actually used to read his blog on the business of writing for animation (and writing screenplays in general) years ago...he’s really awesome. Funny too! :). Some of his (and his writing partner T...

Re: Article on all the Disney live action remakes of animated classics

Just wanted to comment on the trailer for the Aladdin remake: (wasn’t sure if we had a thread yet or not, plus I kind of wanted to address the subject of formerly animated films in general): I really wasn’t impressed by it. :? Sure it looked great, but there was NOTHING novel or even remotely origin...

Re: Animated Views 2018 Revamp

Just wanted to say on the large print reviews...thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! :) :) I love and have always loved the reviews on “Views”, but the smaller print always made them somewhat challenging to really read/absorb. This is so so so much better, once again, thank you so much!!! :o.

Re: AV XV: Views at 15

Yay! :). I can’t even express how wonderful it’s always been to hang out here! Unlike pretty much every fansite/forum out there (animation or not) not only has learning about/keeping up with animation been extremely fulfilling, but the kind and open environment really doesn’t compare to most website...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service (Disney Play)

New on-line remake/tv show of High Fidelity (the John Cusack movie, which is excellent btw) on Disney Play to premiere in about a year from now. Except the Cusack character will now be a woman. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/zoe-kravitz-star-high-fidelity-tv-series-disney-streaming-serv...

Re: X-Men Movies Thread

First Dark Pheonix trailer (opening 2/19), finally. :? https://youtu.be/QvpYp11Q7fA Not sure how I feel. It actually looks pretty cool, but the plot is all over the place as far as continuity. It completely contradicts the previous “trilogy” with the new actors by having Jean first meet Charles as a...

Kinda silly but funny...George Clooney on the Graham Norton Show (2015), apologizing for Batman and Robin. Lol. :P

Re: J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek"

WatchMojo video about the best TOS/TNG/Abrams Trek films...

Basically, they twice mix up footage from different TOS films (ie: Kirk’s eulogy from 2 as part of 3).

Re: New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie

Ah, those heady days of 1990. Yeah totally. 1990 basically still existed in the 80s (I guess kinda like 1960 was still pretty much the 50s.). It was more or less the crux of every weird pop culture phenomenon from that decade. Weird and simply inexplicable! (I mean “Love Shack” was playing on the r...

Re: Most Underrated Disney Character?

LOL... :P I guess I thought of Carpet because he’s barely even been acknowledged as a character all this time...I mean I’m sure there are Carpet fans out there, I just haven’t really seen him (?) discussed...well, at all. But I always thought it was so sweet and courageous the way he supported and p...

Most Underrated Disney Character?

Not “underrated” exactly, but just one that leaves a real impression but hasn’t really been discussed that much. :) (At least the uniqueness of their personality.) I love Nakoma! :) She always struck me as a very interesting character, sort of shy and independent at the same time. Her voice actor (M...
