Re: Coco

Over here, Olaf has been paired with a reissue of the original Frozen, since we don’t get Coco yet (no idea why) and apparently it’s been going great guns, which is nuts because people seem to be shelling out full price to see a twenty minute cartoon and a movie they probably have on disc at home!

Re: Coco

...except there’s a lot of talk around who at Disney allowed him to continue, it turning out to be fairly well-known around the company. And with Iger's leaving coming up, word is he may have to let JL (Lasseter, not the League!) go rather than leave under any sort of cloud. It’s just such a sad sit...

"allegations against JL"...?

Edit: dolt...I just realised you meant John Lasseter, not Justice League.

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES

Why, when I read "old, biased DC fanboy", did I hear Gene Hackman...? ;)

Re: 2017 Best Animated Feature

Of course, since it's Pixar! ;) Surely it's gotta be Cars 3, though, right? ;) ;) I'm glad to see a the very sweet, charming and touching Ethel & Ernest in there, though, and would hope to see Loving Vincent in the shortlist just because of its extraordinary production techniques. Personally, I ...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

Um...I don't think so. Ford isn't in this one for one thing, and Solo's Game as a script title would have come well after Ender was done and on home video. The feeling I got from it was that it was more of a Ripley's Game approach anyway, but the title wold have been picked after Ender. The choice t...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

Nope, but it's close. I don't know when it changed, or if the one I heard was the original script title, if it was the previous directors' name, or if it was being discussed when Howard came in, but I think it was a slightly better title. Solo's Game: A Star Wars Story. I guess I can post that now t...

Re: Upcoming animated films calendar and date changes

I'm up for another Trolls. With our new home theater up and runnng, we've started going back over the last few years of animated films I've bought but never watched, last night's being Penguins Of Madagascar. Yeah, it was a slice of fun, but not anything DWA needs to make another sequel to. When wil...

Re: The Star

Ouch.

Even the Henson Co, which initiated this project, doesn't bother to have its logo on the front. And I love how Sony's back credit contribution is limited to Cloudy, possibly as a way to offer some kind of explanation for the cartoony visuals.

As said before...just poor. :(

Re: Sing

Ah...what was the title that you didn't read the review on because you wanted to see it? Thought it was that one (or some others)? I just thought it was amusing that (most) people all found it to be the same: something quite lovely and brilliant but that was totally unexpected from how how it was ma...
