Re: The Magic Maker: Jennifer Lee’s Plan for Walt Disney Animation

There’s more to this than meets the eye. Somethin' ain't right at the House Of Mouse. Replace one writer-director with another writer-director? And have that current chief step down to direct a film but not its sequel in production at the same time? It all sounds a bit skew-whiff to me…

Re: YouTube Goodness

Technically not editing (as in the cutting sense), but yes, this just sent me down a wormhole of catty clips. The Maverick one is hilarious too!

I wonder where they got the idea from…?

Look out — puppet violence!

Re: Disney Movie Rewards

Hoping the Women Of Disney Animation book comes back, if briefly. I’ve been keeping an eye out but at the moment it’s not even showing. C’mon, Diz, go out with a bang! :)

I guess the perpetual question, Scooby-Doo, where are you, has finally and definitively been answered (to the Max)! ;)

Re: YouTube Goodness

Lenny was/is a comedy god here. Nick Park was flattered to have had his characters spoofed at the time, even if it doesn’t translate that well to you yanks and is now a bit creepy! To be fair, it was back then too, but Aardman were thrilled to have "made it" not the Brit TV establishment! :)

Re: YouTube Goodness

A US thing, natch, as we never got these in the UK. The Batman variant didn’t make it here either, but they’re nicely done; I liked the "don't forget to call, folks!" way of signing off. :) Which reminded me of this…which only really works in print: Batman gets back from a hard day's crime-fighting ...

Re: Watership Down

So nice. Kicking myself that when the original release was cancelled/delayed that I didn’t get in touch with them to let them know about the material the film's editor had on the production. Lots of unseen and heard stuff there! Maybe for the next one…! ;)
