Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Evidently the "Jim Crow" scene in Dumbo will not be included on Disney+. If that's true, wow. Wrong on so many levels. :( To be ignored in the remake is one thing, but to go in and remove such a crucial scene (not to mention memorable song!) is tainting history. If they simply 'cut' it, it will defi...

Re: The Lion King Remake

Was browsing around to see if anyone had made a comparison video and there's a bunch! Here's one I feel captured it best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4LhvUwwoF0 Side by side speaks volumes! Look how bright, lush and grand the original looks by comparison. The copy is too dark, overly detail and...

Re: The Lion King Remake

Here's the full trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TavVZMewpY Pretty underwhelming. A few nice visuals to be sure and its nice to hear that iconic score, but it just feels lazy. The designs are just... borderline ugly? ;) The realistic approach doesn't seem to add much. Aside from one scene, ...

Re: The Twilight Zone

Because of the new reboot, SyFy aired an all day marathon this past Saturday! It was nice surprise. They gave the usual common ones like the Hitchhiker, It's Good Life etc. I just wish the quality on SyFy was better. It totally feels like the eppys are sped up which makes them feel fake. Very distra...

Re: Toy Story 4

I can't find the article now, but I read over the weekend that they used unused vocals from the previous films/video games etc to allow Mr Potato Head to have his original voice. Apparently Don't family requested that his voice still appear in the film. Might be this article . It's very sweet they ...

Re: The Twilight Zone

Hard to believe its been about 16 years since the last Twilight Zone reboot! Wow! Wasn't really a fan. Its hard not to compare it to the classic, but even on its own merit it wasn't really *memorable*. Not to say it was all bad, it did have a few interesting stories I vagually recall. One was about ...

Re: Toy Story 4

It was a bit more spoilery, that's for sure. Prefer the song they used over here in the States. The line "If we hurry we can get him back" stuck out more a second time. We also got to hear Mr. Potato Head talk! Thinking its just lifted audio, sounds exactly like Don and a line we've heard before. Ve...

Re: Disney's Christopher Robin

I even liked Garrett's "deeper" Eeyore more here than I did in 2011's Winnie the Pooh (dare I say it, Christopher Robin was actually a much better Pooh movie than that film). Very much so. Yes, it had its moments... like... actually there's not much I did like. :x Bad enough to wash away recent cha...

Re: Article on all the Disney live action remakes of animated classics

It’s basically the doppelgänger of including “Human Again” in the re-issue of the animated Beauty and the Beast. (Since I didn’t see the Emma Watson version I don’t know if they included it or not.) Nope, that's the only song that's not in the live action version. I don't know if it would've worked...

Re: Dora the Explorer Live Action trailer. Dora with a knife!

All things considered, this doesn't look too bad. Kinda funny. That scene where their trapped under water gave me Power Ranger vibes. Boots is voiced by Danny Trejo by the way! He seems more of a Swiper. ;) Wonder if he will actually TALK or just make monkey sounds like the trailer showed. And if he...

Wow, how sad. I still have a couple of Simpson comics from back in the day. Never really read them but enjoyed looking at the pictures.

Re: Scooby-Doo! Theatrical animated movie just announced

From the front page -- Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried join Scoob as Fred and Daphne -- Not surprised honestly, though was still holding out hope for Frank, being part of the "new" cast and all... What a bummer. :(

Re: Toy Story 4

That all said, is it me or do all the voices in this sound off? With Bo, I think it's more the tone. She's talking a lot more faster compared to the first two movies. Still, Potts' has not lost it. Glad she wasn't replaced. :) The thing I found most 'off' in the trailer is that scene with young And...
