Whether you watch the show or not, I think superhero fans (especially DC fans) should give it a chance!

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

...It was my understanding that JJ didn't actually know Star Trek at all, and really wanted to do Star Wars all along. And you can tell. His Trek films don't adhere to the basic emphasis of Trek TV... To be fair, while true that JJ's "Trek films don't adhere to the basic emphasis of Trek TV&qu...

Re: Oscar Contest 2018

Just for fun, went back and looked at the last six years worth of winners. The earliest any of them turned their ballot in was six days before the contest. Lesson is to wait I guess! Freaks me out a bit though when no one has entered as the deadline approaches! 2018 Deadline: 3/2 -- winner entered 3...

Re: Oscar Contest 2018

I saw 6 of the 9 Best Picture nominees... and came in 60th out of 69! So it's probably less about following films or being intuitive and more a bit of luck and a bit of seeing which way the wind is blowing the week before the show! It'd be interesting to go back and see how late previous winners tur...

Re: Oscar Contest 2018

Nice job Ben! My problem is I'm always the first one to fill in my ballot the day the contest opens -- so no one accuses me of cheating! I printed my ballot the day of the Oscars and just laughed at some of my picks that had been the favorites a few weeks earlier. I think after this many years of co...

Re: Live-action Winnie the Pooh on the way

It's got a Star Wars actor, a Marvel star... and four Doctor Who actors. Maybe the Mouse is looking to acquire a new franchise?

Re: YouTube Goodness

This would have been more fun than some of the bits we got at the Oscars. The Lonely Island were asked to write a song for the show, but after submitting it were told it was not doable. Here's their "storyboarded" version with them doing the voices. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7DssfaY...

Re: Oscar Contest 2018

The Oscars are over and we have a tie at the top of our contest! Congratulations to "woodsbaker" and "jwvaughn007" who both got an extraordinary 21 out of 22 categories right! That ties our contest record for most correct picks set back in 2014! While both players will be listed ...
