Re: X-Men Movies Thread

I totally get what you guys are saying. There are still elements of it that I enjoy (even though 95% of all the actors’ talents put together are basically thrown by the wayside) but I definitely now think that this was pretty much an all-around disaster. :(. I still love the opening sequence in anci...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

I don’t agree with every word of this, but in my opinion it is an interesting argument because I really do think Abrams is overrated. Don’t get me wrong, I found TFA to be extremely entertaining, but TLJ has so much more depth to it. And I only saw Abrams’ first Star Trek film, probably due to the f...

Re: The Simpsons

This is an AMAZING site called the “Dead Homer Society” which is basically a defense of the notion that the program that calls itself “The Simpsons” currently airing on Fox is actually a show called “Zombie Simpsons” that bears only the tiniest resemblance to the program that aired from 1989 to abou...

Re: X-Men Movies Thread

A lot of the story is actually supposed to take place in outer space (plus the Pheonix is an otherworldly being not a split personality). Hopefully it will be done right this time. :)

Re: R.I.P. Adam West

Very, very saddened by this. His Batman was iconic and his voice work was amazing, especially Family Guy.

Here's a brief but hilarious clip of him from The Critic.
He was such a good sport! :-). (And of course he was great in The Simpsons Mr. Plow ep too.)

Re: X-Men Movies Thread

It may not have broken records but Apocalypse didn't do too shabbily; more than 500 million international and domestic isn't exactly a bomb. :? I don't think Fox would have greenlit the Pheonix sequel if they didn't think these characters and stories had potential. (Or kept Bryan Singer on the payro...
