The Incredibles is the first traditional animated film of it's length that has a story. The Incredibles isn't "traditional" - it's CGI! ;) I have to say that, whatever you think, Fantasia IS counted by all and sundry as an animated film, albeit an anthology one, but it is the longest out there. I a...

Amazing Stories was what is known as an "anthology series", where each episode is new every week and has no bearing on past or future episodes. Amblin produced it, and Spielberg's friends basically used it as a awy of trying new things or just taking time out to have fun. Scorsese, Eastwood, Dear, D...

Re: 2d

:?: If this film does really, really badly, if people have a just plain awful reaction to it, could it spark a return to traditional animation? Nope. The Incredibles and the recent success of Shrek and Shark Tale will make up for it. The reason will be that Hanks has had a bad year, or that audienc...

Welcome to the boards! You're certainly jazzed up about Pixar's latest aren't you? Actually, I agree that, at that length, the film will have time to breathe and take in all the multiple layers that the trailers seem to point to. Just a thought, though: I know that Pixar's Boundin' is attached direc...

...and they're not even keeping to type this go around.

Last year it was the Premiere Collection - this year it's The Spotlight Collection Volume 2.

I think that actually tells you all you need to know about WB's handling of the lower, cut-priced deal.

Simple: Go for Gold! :)

I think it looks scary... Did they really ditch traditional animation for stuff like this?? 'fraid so. I picked apart the very first teaser trailer for an article at DVD Toons about a year ago. The piece looks at the Oscar candidates for this past year, but slide down to the bottom and you can read...

LOONEY TUNES GOLDEN COLL Volume 2

Okay...it's finally here! While the extras don't add up to the rareness and wow factor of last year's first volume, the cartoons included, among them some of the most requested and all-time great WB titles, could be an even better selection. This is a definite MUST HAVE for classic animation enthusi...

Okay guys...play nice.

Macaluso, no-one's asking you to tone down your "style" or attitude, but let's please be considerate to everyone on the boards.

If this thread continues to become more sarcastic, it will be closed.

Abuse is abuse, whatever tone is adopted.

Thanks. :)

Extremes And Inbetweens is still an "active" title, so ordering shouldn't be a problem. I reviewed it for DVD Toons: http://www.dvdtoons.com/reviews/101 The only two added cartoons were Feed The Kitty and Duck Dodgers In The 24th-And-A-Half Century - both included on the first Looney Tunes box set, ...

I agree with Mr SP.

This new trailer looked a lot better, but the writing isn't quite up there with Pixar's.

They need to get Joe Grant back working for 'em.
