Re: 100-year-old Sherlock Holmes film rediscovered

I was just reading about this. Great news, indeed. I'll definitely be looking forward to a Blu-ray release.

Re: Will Disney buy DWA?

Veeeeeeery interesting! JK finally got his deal done. I'm very curious as to what this will mean for the companys future projects, in and out of film production. More of the same, or a new approach? And will JK stick around?

And, of note: the article speaks of HTTYD2's grosses as a positive!

I'm feeling the exact same. This film has not really grabbed my attention. However, I do love the medium, so I'll likely see it at some point.

As eager as I am to purchase (and watch!) DOFP, I'll certainly be waiting to see what the next edition looks like.

Re: Disney's Frozen

I understand. The message of the film, and the song, are so universal that everyone seems to be seeing themselves in it.

And that lawsuit is just ridiculous. Hard to believe it's for real.

Re: Samurai Jack: The Birth of Evil (2003)

There were rumours of a movie to tie it all up, but sadly it's never happened. Likely never will now, but I'd love to see it.

Re: Samurai Jack: The Birth of Evil (2003)

I loved the show. It was often light in story, but the design work and stylized animation more than made up for that.

Re: Popeye Movie First look at CG Popeye

<t>I think there's more here right than wrong. Lots of energy, rubber hose animation, physical humour, nice gags. All positives.<br/> <br/> I do hope these don't turn out to be final character designs. I hadn't noticed the t-shirt initally, but now it bugs me (the sailor's cap does still make him lo...

Re: BOO

DWA is a sad shell of its former self. Even though they've got many films in their library and in development, the inspriation is really slipping. There was so much promise in those wonderful, early films. And now... just sad. Katz's predisposition to packaging (expensive!) product rather than trust...

Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

I have actually never seen this show. Nice for fans, but nothing I'm in a hurry to check out. Still more 60s and 70s H-B to get to. :)

Can't say I'm too excited about this one. Yawn. Kiddie film, which is okay, but not for me.

Re: Best superhero actor?

I can't argue with that. :)

I met West a couple of years ago, and told him. "You've always been my Batman, and now you're my kids' Batman." He looked quite affected, and said, "Thank you so much for that."

Loopy de Loop! At last! H-B's only post-MGM series of theatrical shorts, complete on DVD! We've been waiting a while for this one! Kinda excited about it. :)
