Re: Official Star Wars Thread
Reading through on all these critques of the Prequel and discovering that my gripe about the entire prequels is trivial and really doesn't impact on anything. The one time I felt that Lucas really dropped the ball was not insisting that Williams use the Luke & Leia theme during the birthing scene. T...

Re: Tomorrowland
Basically, the audience doesn't really want to "think" And until audiences do want to think consistently at the cinemas there will continue to be a large gap between those films that make big bucks at the cinema and those films that get given awards. Not saying Tomorrowland deserves award but audie...

Re: X-Men Movies Thread
Is the Rogue cut going to be an entirely different movie to the original? I've been holding off buying the original cause of the rumoured 'extended' edition but ately I've been thinking maybe I should get the original as the Rogue cut kinda sounds like it may be an alternate take on the movie.

Re: Official Star Wars Thread
I'm actually surprised that it seems the new protagonist appears not to be related to Luke Skywalker. She he says my dad and my sister. Not granddad/aunt/mum.
This trailer actually has me excited for Star Wars return, even though I feel this trilogy is totally unnecessary

Re: Ant-Man
OK I have no idea about anything Ant-Man related. But who is the villain in this piece if it's not Wasp. That's who I thought he was from the trailer, but Eric just said Wasp is girl. Is he Hornet? Little Angry Yellow Man?

Re: Disney's Frozen
Disappointed. I could understand a sequel to Big Hero 6 it makes sense from a story point, but Frozen I just don't get. I honestly cannot see where they could go with it. But I don't have to please shareholders so I guess I'm not about chasing money. It's a pity that there is little to no chance tha...

Re: How does everyone feel about Disney these days?
I feel the main thing that Lasseter has bought to WDAS is the introduction to adding a twist to the plot where one character suddenly turns into the bad guy. This started over at Pixar with Toy Story 2 and I've noticed it has slowly crept into many of WDAS recent pics. Sometimes it works, sometimes ...

Re: Underdogs
My 4.5 year old godson loved the earwax part of the trailer. Found it hilarious that anyone would put earwax on a toothbrush. He loved that part so much that his mother took him to the movies to watch it, while the mother was a tad disappointed in the movie, the 4.5 year old loved it. Even if all he...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread
It definitely got me more excited about the movie. Ever since this trilogy was announced I've been very ho hum and bah humbug about it. This shows me that it could at least be interesting. But then I thought The Phantom Menace also looked promising. Although I will admit I may have laughed out loud ...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread
Love the JW trailer. It looks really good. Stoked that they finally found a way to include aquatic dinosaurs, even if it is just a throwaway joke. My only concern is the whole genetic hybrid plot. I just don't think in any lifetime, people would become bored with the dinosaurs we know. I just think ...

Re: How does everyone feel about Disney these days?
I guess this is a good as place as any to put this thought down instead of opening a new thread for a random thought. Lately I've just been thinking about how I (or the general public) could tell the difference between a Disney film and a Pixar film these days. And I honestly can't. When Pixar came ...

Re: Minions Movie
After viewing the trailer I want to see this movie. After viewing the trailer for the penguins movie I went meh whatever. So the minion trailer is clearly excellent promotion. I initially was sceptical and thought they should just stay in the Despicable Universe and I thought I couldn't tolerate a w...

Re: Peter Jackson's The Hobbit
And with that trailer I have to finally admit that I clearly have no memory of what I read 24 years ago. None of that even seemed remotely familiar. I honestly cannot recall an epic battle in The Hobbit. Maybe it is time to re-read. I just hope it's not 3 hours of fighting cause to be honest I get b...
