"Jai Ho" is a beautifully written song...kind of poetry you don't get to hear very often and I'm glad to see its getting the recognition it deserves.

I'm also glad to see "Waltz with Bashir" in the foreign film category and I won't be surprised if it wins. A very powerful film, indeed.

I saw Beauty and the Beast when it was released in IMAX couple of years ago. Though it was a wonderful experience but many a few scenes looked quite jittery on the large screen. I can't wait to see it in digital 3D format. I'm sure the classic is just waiting to come alive in the format. 2010 is a l...

Indeed. That's exactly what I feel too. It is really ironical if only the animators from the academy get to vote for films. Its time they looked at animation as just another medium not to be judged solely on technical brilliance.

"The Sky Crawlers" is impressive too. Surreal, passionate, thoughtprovoking. It may not be as well known or popular as other films in the bunch but it is certainly better than many (or most) of them. Still, I have little hope that it will be recognized by the academy. I wasn't surprised when Paprika...

Well, if you can watch multiregion discs, why wait for another year? That too, when you have the English track included on the disc. I certainly don't think Disney is going to give anything more than what is available on this set. Remember "Howl's moving castle" UK edition was better in terms of ext...

I own R2 2-disc set of Earthsea and its wonderful. A fantastic English dub alongwith some very interesting extras on the making of the film which also talk about Miyazaki and Goro's relationship and the differences they had during the production. Well, I must also admit here, that the packaging of t...
