Re: Disney's Frozen

What can I say? I told you Frozen fans were nuts. Frozen is the new Twilight. Unfortunately, being a Disney film, it won't simply go away after a few years. We're stuck with these people for the foreseeable future. Sigh.

Re: X-Men: First Class

Finally saw DOFP yesterday. The short version is that I LOVED it. However, taken at face value, the continuity issues are a major problem. This article comes as close as anyone could to providing a logical explanation, but it is spoileriffic, so be warned: http://screenrant.com/x-men-movies-continui...

Re: X-Men: First Class

Xavier's line to Logan: "I don't need to explain my actions, least of all to you." WHAT??? Xavier does NOT talk like this, ESPECIALLY to Logan, whom he worked so hard to try and rehabilitate. Comic book Xavier does. We may not see that side of him most of the time, but it is there. Personally, I've...

Re: X-Men: First Class

So what? Quentin Tarantino has a foot fetish, Kevin Smith is a pothead, Tim Burton is Tim Burton. Every director has their signature shtick, why should Bryan Singer be any different?

Re: X-Men: First Class

Thank you for sharing that. Being concerned as I am about the possibility of the chronology being completely messed up, it was worth having the film spoiled to find out what exactly is going on. If, as the article implies, Singer essentially erased EVERY previous film, including his own, so Future P...

Something tells me if she'd made the first draft, it might have actually been decent. Seriously, is she really defending the practice of executive meddling? Really? Head, meet wall.

Re: Interstellar

I've not seen Gravity yet (although I probably should before I see this for the sake of comparison), but based solely on the two films' trailers, this one looks much more impressive. How much you wanna bet that Interstellar is the better film but doesn't get nearly the amount of money or acclaim as ...

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature

If they want to have someone do a new version of So This Is Love, I think Adele would be a good choice. Pair her with Michael Buble and you'd have a nice duet.

Re: Cinderella - Disney Live-Action Feature

Well, Cinderella was never one of my favorite Disney films, but if this is a full blown reimagining like Maleficent and not just a live action remake, it could be interesting. I'd approach with caution, though. While I sincerely hope this won't happen, there's still time yet for the executives to me...

Re: Disney's Frozen

And what exactly makes you better qualified to "tell the difference between a good film and a bad one"? Well, I hate to pull the college degree card because I know it makes me sound like an arrogant jerk, but I do just so happen to have a film studies degree and I would say that that makes me just ...

Re: Disney's Frozen

It was, and I don't know about you, but when I saw it, the whole audience loved it and I saw it with a packed house. If you didn't care for it, fine, but don't even try to tell me that Frozen was the better movie. Even Prince Of Persia was better than that stain on the canon (although in that case, ...

Re: Disney's Frozen

Let it go dude, let it go... Ya know, I'm getting really blanking tired of people saying that. This is not a small thing. No offense intended to anyone here, but when I see great movies like John Carter and The Lone Ranger completely bomb while a blanking piece of blank like this makes a gazillion ...
