Am I the only one who really likes Cartoon Brew and Beck and Amidi (though I don't always agree with him)? They've got a cool kind of yin and yang thing going on between them too I think! And if you want to get into credentials... who are we? Just a bunch of fans basically.

You guys are making me feel bad! I had the in-laws visiting until Sunday and had hoped to start the logo after that. But Monday I injured myself and have been out of commission. I'm afraid I wasn't able to get a Valentine's logo ready this year. Sorry! I also hoped to have the Oscar contest up this ...

To be fair, those extreme Pixar fanboys could probably look at some of the things you've written and have the same reaction! :)

I think Disney is actually going to be the top pick for Aardman. No inside info, just a sense. Where ever they end up, they will probably get a great distribution deal.

They weren't pissed. I think they were unhappy it was coming out when Flushed Away was just opening. And by mentioning our credibility it preyed on our desire to be responsible reporters.

Both companies will be fine. DW is adding an additional year to their production schedule. Big plus for them. Aardman has a proven track record in America now (and an Oscar). Big plus for them when signing a contract with a new distributor.

Here is the original last paragraph of our article. I've decided to edit it a bit for tact, but the truth of the statement still stands. The companies have clamped down on rumors of a split in the past several months. At a ASIFA-Hollywood Q&A session the week Flushed Away opened, the directors quash...

I've edited out the above links as technically this appears to be pirated. Correct me if I'm wrong though. This is a great "short" (it's 26 minutes!) and was discussed a bit during Oscar time last year. For those that want to see it AND justly compensate the creators it is for sale on iTunes for $1....

BTW I think Shrek was the first animated film to win the Best Musical or Comedy Golden Globe based on the fact that it was a great FILM, not just an "animated movie." :P  ) Two problems there: 1. Beauty and the Beast was the first animated film to win the Best Picture Golden Globe. Aft...

Hoodwinked was a great film. And it proves the point that story can trump animation.

I guess to fans, Pixar will always walk on water no matter what they do.....*sighs* :? 8) ) Does that not apply in reverse? The problem is that you seem to take any criticism of DW and turn it into a Pixar debate! This thread is the case in point. No one was debating DW vs Pixar, until you got a li...
