Re: How does everyone feel about Disney these days?
Like any other studio, they have hits and misses. But overall, the past few years have been great for their animation studio(s). After Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, Home on the Range, and Chicken Little, the studio looked doomed. Looking at things in that context, their resurgence is a minor miracl...

Re: Aunt May the Movie is Coming!
Oh my. This just gets worse and worse! How can a film company not have any idea how to do a Spider-Man movie? Sure, you can fall into the trap of just doing the same movie over and over again, but with over 50 years of comic history behind him, surely Spidey has had more than one filmable story?

Re: Interstellar
3001? Wow. Neat. 2010 (the movie) turned out pretty well. I have 3001 sitting right here on my desk, but haven't read it yet. I'm sure I'd be interested in a Scott adaptation, though.

Re: Interstellar
Early reviews suggest the typical Nolan film: Ambitious, pretentious, frequently great, poorly plotted and paced, and ultimately unsatisfying and frustrating.
I'm not a big Nolan fan, but of course I will have to see it. Like Gilliam and the Wachowskis, at least he's ambitious and interesting.

Wow, that was a quick turnaround. Looks like the company didn't read its contract.

To clarify, new season sets for Snorks will not be offered through Warner Archive, but from a new distributor that has licensed the show.

Re: Man of Steel, Justice League and DC MOVIES
Hey, I at least am glad they're being ambitious. After years of nothing decent going on except Batnolan, WB is getting majorly invested in a DC movieverse. The 10 year old in me gushes with anticipation. Of course, we have little reason to be optimistic about their quality, but surely at least a cou...

Re: Star Wars Rebels
Agreed. Clone Wars, by its nature, was dark, even in the lighter episodes. There's a real moral ambivalence in the set-up, given that there is not really any side to cheer for. Even the Jedi are just pawns of Palpatine. Eveyone is being manipulated on all sides. And by the time you get to the final ...

Re: Star Wars Rebels
Sounds good. We (my son and I ) just finished the final season of Clone Wars on Netflix this afternoon. That show was excellent, though it's good to hear the faces have been fixed for the new show.

Re: Inside Out
That's, er....surprisingly informative for a Pixar first-teaser. Guess they know they don't have to worry anymore about Dreamworks stealing their plot six months ahead. :P I'll give Eric credit. That was actually pretty funny. :) Can't say I'm overly jazzed for this movie, but I could say the same ...

Re: DreamWorks' Boss Baby
I'm sorry but if this was even on the table at Disney or Pixar (sans redundant capitals) it's the kind of thing Lasseter would ask "why are we making this again?"... Well, to be fair, he said the same thing about Gnomeo and Juliet, apparently...and that ended up being Disney's best animated movie f...
