I believe i heard that as well...wasn't that on NPR? I was in the other room at work at the time so i only heard a brief mention of it and what sounded like an interview about comics. Or is CBC also NPR? hmm... It may have been different interviews. CBC is definitely not NPR. Regardless, it was nic...

Has anyone heard the official announcment for this? It's due Feb. 1, and I just stumbled across a mention of it at Aint-it-Cool: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00079RC00/102-5611851-6525729?v=glance&s=dvd&vi=tech-info It appears to have the fairy tale shorts, and some of his experime...

On the way home today, I was listening to CBC Radio, and was very impressed that they were interviewing Art Spiegleman on-air about Will Eisner. I thought that was pretty cool. Naturally, the interviewer knew nothing about comics, but obviously someone was doing their research.

George--- we're just answering the question posed in the first post. The packaging WAS the topic of the thread. And the fact that we love the content almost goes without saying. As you said, there's not much else to complain about; would you really prefer we find something else to complain about (as...

I'm really excited about seeing these for the first time (for the most part). But why not keep the packaging more consistent with previous waves? That's just annoying. Yes, the content is the most important thing, but they should know that collectors like consistency. Warner's latest Harry Potter re...

The drawing aside, I don't know who ever thought it was a good idea to place the logo right in the middle of the image. It can work with some design concepts, when the picture is naturally divided anyways, but looks awkward when the picture is more unified like this one.

I'm looking forward to seeing this, for better or worse. Whether I approve of the idea or not, this is a major event for these characters, and I'm curious to see how it looks. Although I don't like the "plastic-y" look or glassy eyes I've seen in some of the preview shots, I've also been impressed w...

There are so many inaccuracies in Ed's last 2 posts (not unusual for him) that I'm resisting every urge to angrily tear them apart one item at a time, in the interest of keeping this board civil. Hopefully, most people here read other things besides Forums in order to gain information and form their...

Yep, it drives me nuts. I picked up the 3-disc set expecting the cartoons to be on it. I may just cave in and buy the 2-disc'er "previously viewed" (for 10 bucks) from a local rental store just for the cartoons. What the heck--- I'd buy the cartoons on a disc by themselves for 10 bucks, so why not? ...
