Re: SPIDEY 4 becomes AMAZING SPIDER MAN

Yeah, I really didn't get that one.

And now, seeing that people won't even see a Spider-Man movie if it looks stinky, SS doesn't have much of a chance.

Re: SPIDEY 4 becomes AMAZING SPIDER MAN

I can't even manage a shrug. Sony has screwed up this franchise, and they know it.

Re: SPIDEY 4 becomes AMAZING SPIDER MAN

Definitely related. Marvel is clearly not cool with other studios using their characters anymore, not that they have much choice. Any protest is likely to be ineffective (and only shoots Marvel in its own foot, probably), as comic sales have nearly zero impact on the films.

Re: Disney Infinity

Sort of. But Disney is still calling the big shots. Disney set the early release date for Episode VII, *against* the request of Lucasfilm for more time. And it's Disney that ordered lots of spin-off films. And Disney that shut down LucasArts.

Wow.

But I can see it happening, because... I'm married. That's all I'm gonna say.

Re: X-Men: First Class

I finally watched Origins just a few weeks ago... and didn't understand why it was so hated. I enjoyed it just fine, continuity problems aside. The first X-Men only seemed good because it wasn't as terrible as people feared, and took a lot of the lore seriously. But it really wasn't that good, aside...

Son of Batman!

I can't say I like where these movies are going. Violent, bloody, joyless... Just like today's mainstream comics. Sigh.

Cool! I'd certainly like to see this live.

Just realized this is from WPB. I lived there for a few months in 1995!

Re: Disney Movie Rewards

I've never heard of a comics version. Here's what Wiki has to say on the subject of an Unbreakable sequel: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unbreakable_%28film%29#Cancelled_sequel I found the movie to be slow, but decent. I'd like to watch it again sometime, but the disc has sat unwatched on my shelf fo...

Re: Big Hero 6

As a Marvel property, it's awfully obscure. Way more so even than Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm a comics guy, but even I had to look the team up on Wikipedia to find out where the heck they came from--- an Alpha Flight story, which led to a miniseries where they teamed with the X-Men's Sunfire. And t...

Re: Disney Movie Rewards

I also saw that the Home on the Range Blu-ray is only 550 points. Might be the only way I could ever convince myself to upgrade that particular film.

Actually, they've enhanced their Blu-ray selection quite nicely. Lots of good titles, even 3D ones.

Re: Will Disney buy DWA?

If it's even "better" than the first one, it would certainly be a contender. I thought the first one could've won too.
