Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)

Hang on…who is Matt Walsh…? You don't want to know. But yeah, this is my bad. The Daily Wire is what I was thinking of, so I'm sorry for reacting the way that I did! (Apologies, James!) But they have invested $100 million in creating "non-woke" programming for children intended to directly compete ...

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)

I'm shocked that Matt Walsh might not be reputable.

He's running a website that is rooting for all things Disney to fail. Of course the site is going to say those kinds of things about this film. Again, I am taking all of this with a huge grain of salt until further notice.

Re: Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Live-Action)

My standards? :?

All I said was I would wait until we got a more “official” announcement before I reacted. The Daily Mail is already working on so-called “anti-woke” cartoons to “compete” with Disney. I’m not going to take an article they publish about them seriously for that reason. That’s all.

Err…

The Daily Mail isn’t exactly a dependable news source. I’ll wait until we hear more “official” announcements.

Re: Jim Henson Studios & Blumhouse's Five Nights At Freddy's

I’m pretty sure Ben was joking.

If not, maybe the game’s pop culture impact hasn’t reached the UK? Because it was everywhere here in the states for a while.

Re: Disney's The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)

Weirdly I wasn’t sure if that’s Halle’s voice used for that part in the theater? And I’m still not, really. Was there concern over a “black voice” coming out of a white person? I’m so confused.

I’ve been wanting to read Scheimer's book for years. Unfortunately, it’s out of print and extremely pricy now. :(

Re: YouTube Goodness

This more or less reflects my thoughts on Wendell and Wild . Obviously I don't "agree" with everything here (I hated the "broken faces" and found them so distracting, assuming it was a budget thing), but it does go into a lot of the issues I had. I really think Sellick might be like Don Bluth in tha...

Re: Disney's Bambi (Live-Action)

Yeah as someone whose username around here used to be related to RTNL, I have to point out that Wendy was never portrayed as a “neglectful parent” in that film (which also wasn’t DTV, natch!).
