Re: Goodbye Noggin
Nice history lesson! I loved The Tomorrow People! it was shown after school on CBC in the late 70s. I now have the complete series on DVD (from the UK), though I'm afraid to watch it, knowing it can't live up to my preteen memories. I recall Nick at Night fondly, though I can't say I watched it much...

Re: Goodbye Noggin
Reading its Wiki entry, I see it launched in Feb 1999, the same month I left the US, after living there since 1993. So, I just missed it! It was initially mainly aimed at preteens and teens, but had preschool shows in the morning. In 2002, the preschool and preteen/teen blocks were each 12 hours lon...

Re: DMC Exclusive Disney Blus
Yeah. What I meant was, Disney wouldn't license out the likes of Shaggy Dog before, and I doubt they're doing it now. I don't think the Sony deal is going to bring out more than what we already had happening - newer films and the biggest catalog titles. I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect that the Disne...

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
So, Madame Web was a horrible idea from the beginning. The story sounded awful, the casting sounded awful, and the execution - surprise! - is apparently awful. The reviews are brutal. Sony is lost at sea when it comes to expanding their Spider-Verse. I like this 2/10 review: https://www.blu-ray.com/...

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
I suppose Pedro could be okay, but it's disappointing to see them go with someone already so "in house" at Disney.
Though it's shallow, it is cool to see someone named Kirby in the cast, and she looks the part.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Basic titles? Like Love and Thunder? Or The Multiverse of Madness? Looking at how those turned out, maybe simpler is better.
Anyhow, the title fits the film, and it's just how a Marvel comic book would be titled, so it works.

And just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
But this may find an audience that can appreciate it.

Re: 96th Oscar Nominations
It's between Spidey and Heron, I think. I thought Spidey was pretty wonderful, honestly, but haven't seen Heron yet. And true, Spidey is not a standalone film at all. I liked Elemental, but it was average Pixar and can't compete with the Amazing Spidey. Robot Dreams is an interesting choice, but I c...

Re: Looney Tunes Golden/Platinum Collections
Great selection, I think!
Still a few nice ones out there, yet, and they haven't even scratched the surface yet of the older, musical non-regular character Merrie Melodies. Not to mention the Bosko and Foxy Looney Tunes.
