Best DW movies?

Post by ShyViolet » December 10th, 2005, 11:45 pm

Paramount is getting a very good deal with the DW film library.

NOT counting animted films, which DW films do you think are the best?

I nominate: American Beauty as my #1 favorite

I also loved Gladiator, Galaxy Quest, Meet the Parents, and the Ring. (NOT Ring 2!)

And of course Anchorman.

In all honesty, I don't think that I've seen much Dreamworks, even including the animation. I saw Prince of Egypt, Shark Tale, both Shreks and the end of Road to Eldorado, but not that much else (I'm not classing Aardaman stuff as Dreamworks, BTW). Of the ones that I have seen, I'll probably vote for The Prince of Egypt for animation and for live action, Meet the Parents.

A Series of Unfortunate Events, even though they had help on that...I went to see it for my birthday last year (holy crap...last year already? I'm getting old), and I was suprised how much I enjoyed it. For such a 'depressing' movie, I couldn't help smiling the whole way through it. Needless to say, after that I went and read all the books (which are great, BTW), and bought the soundtrack.

Hey, we need more "Shark Tale" fans in the world.

I can't pick a favorite. I'm not good at that sort of thing.

But Meg, I LOVE "A Series of Unfortunate Events"!!!

All of them.

I read the first three before I saw the film. Then I read the rest.
