HoBSoft: Visual Notes in production management

Post by hcjehg » October 11th, 2011, 9:29 am

Based on the experience we have obtained doing films like "Asterix and the Vikings", "Brendan and the secret of Kells", "Chico & Rita" and now "A monster in Paris", we have learned that making textual notes really limits the communication to the artist during approval situations.

We have therefore been busy upgrading the web interface for our production management and automation system, adding in quite a spiffy new technology:

Visual Notes

Now you can draw directly on the movies in the HoBSoft web application. No more writing tricky text notes, just draw See here how it works in 56 seconds:

This video also shows an ever so small bit of footage from "A monster in Paris".

Hi,

I work for a Media company in India, we have used HoBSoft web application to frame lively animation.

Indeed the drawing directly on the movie was impressive feature, even non-designer could use it.

We have done some Animated lectures on law of attraction using this application for a client. So we went out of score of games and used this for educational lectures too.

Chico & Rita nominated for the Academy Awards - Best animated feature

Check out the trailer here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMdL4Y5KB6A

Tono Errando said during the conferences in Annecy 2011 that (I'm quoting to memory here - but it to this very effect) "I am TIRED of winning prizes, I WANT SALES".

I guess this is one of the prizes he wouldn't mind winning

Congratulations to Estudio Mariscal and the whole team.

And as usual technical and interesting details about the production on:

And on a personal note - That makes two Award nominations in a row for us...
