Best write-up on her here...

Really good stuff at the end of the article.

Left with a smile on her face.

This is one obit that actually made me feel better... :)

Many people say women aren't funny, and it may be true that NOT MANY women are truly funny because it's difficult to laugh or make fun of yourself at times and there's inborn training to NOT look foolish in public. I think it's easier for many men not to care about that; not so much for most women.

I think that's why Lucy (Lucille Ball) and Phyllis Diller will be remembered as among the funniest performers. They DID spoof themselves and were willing to look foolish for a laugh.

"Commenting in 1995 about the repainting of the Hollywood sign, she cracked, "It took 300 gallons, almost as much as I put on every morning." She said her home "used to be haunted, but the ghosts haven't been back since the night I tried on all my wigs."

They just don't make 'em like her anymore... Ha!

Wow, Fox News wrote something worthwhile. Anyway, RIP Ms. Diller. As George said, "they just don't make em' like you anymore."
