Looks good so far, there hasnt been a chinese genre cartoon since mulan, I think the chracters are are lovable looking and dreamworks is know for there well played slapstick humor. The animation looks very well done and when you throw jack black in the mix and you've got gold. Im looking forward to this one, How about you?

Well, I have a grudge, as it potrays snow leapords as evil...And I'm still waiting for DW to make a movie starring people instead of fluffy-wuffy-cutey animals for a change, too.

Well that is what they did for a while (Prince of Egypt, El Dorado, Sinbad, and even Spirit which had people) but I guess they wanted to get on the CG bandwagon for a while. Plus Shrek and Shrek 2 had humans in it, even if they were a little stiff.

And it's a lot more challenging to do a compelling story starring people in CG than it is in 2d. At least that's what I think. We know it can be done (Incredibles) and will be done (The Robinsons) but the cute and cuddly thing was big for a while 'cause of Pixar. If you want to "blame" someone, blame them.

BTW I think DW does have some CG films starring humans mapped out for the future. I think there is a super-hero type film in the works, which is going to be different from the stuff they're doing now.

And who knows? Maybe they WILL get back to doing 2d.

So I guess you didn't like Ice Age too much, then?

I like Ice Age, actually :)...

I'm not going too crazy about it - but snow leopards (and pandas for that matter) are extremely endangered and I dislike when animals on the brink of dying out are viewed as evil.

On second thought, I need to calm down...It's just a cartoon.

Those weren't snow leopards in "Ice Age". They were saber-toothed tigers, which are extinct anyway.

I think she was refering to big cats in general...

The sabor-toothed tigers were awsome, BTW. ;)

So...Um. The KungFu Gecko trailer won't work for me. Is it any good?

I just checked the link (http://www.kungfugeckothemovie.com/movie.php?res=small). It seems to work fine for me. Do you not have QuickTime installed?

The trailer is pretty good. Its best attribute is that it shows off the film's animation, which is nice for an independent project.

Yes, I'm trying to downlaod Quicktime though, because there's so much stuff I can't see because of it. The site also had the trailer in windows media, but it wouldn't load.

I was impressed by the animation in Kung Fu Gecko, but the jokes need some finessing...

O.K., I'm not sure if anyone's seen these Panda pics yet, but here are two images from IMDB:

Maybe these are old news...but I wasn't sure, so...

Try ANCIENT news! ;)

We posted about these a few weeks back. You've been spending too much time on You Tube and not keeping up with our main page!

But KFP looks fun!

I haven't seen that tiger shot yet.

I need to stop hanging around Stargate forums all the time...

Maybe they should swap a letter around in the title and add Meryl Streep.

KUNG FU PRADA, anyone? ;)
