Ben - That's incredible. Hollywood will do anything for money and fame these days, won't they? Although, I guess you could say that they were already notorious for that in the first place. :P

That's a very slim chance though, shame, I would love for a sequel to be nominated. That would sooo make my day! :D

I should probably mention that Animated Views' review of this release was posted recently:

The country music wasn't my cup of tea, and the story is so-so, but overall it's a pretty good-looking DTV title.

Thanks for the notice Ran! :)

I just finished reading it, and I really enjoyed it!

I agreed with most of your critique. However, my only complain would be that, of the music issue. I don't really like country music at all to, but I loved Fox 2's soundtrack. You really disliked the music?

I especially enjoyed whenever Cash and Dixie sang, they were great! My memory fails me a little, but....
on your review, it showed that one scene where the animals are all bright colors, that's where Dixie is singing, right? That's one of my favorite songs!

Aside from the music, you didn't like the little girl who kept following the scout master? I found that quite enjoyable  especially towards the end.
I also enjoyed the edition of Vickie Lawrence to the cast. Not to mention, the little homage to Johnny Cash. ;)

Other than that, I loved your review! :P

With respect, I don't see how one could really like the soundtrack if one didn't like country music. It's like saying that one hates horror novels, but loves to read chillers by Stephen King.

Sure, the music of FH2 is toe-tapping stuff, but it's just not my cup o' tea. :) Having said that, if I really have to listen to country music, I'm glad it's Reba singing it. (Though Shania would have been even better.)

I'm glad you liked the review!

I know Ran, its odd. But, its not really 'countryish' to me. Its confusing, but I like the way Fox 2 handled it, and like you said, I was happy Reba sang in it. :)

I really did enjoy the review, so thanks again for that! :P

Okay, I haven't actually seen this film yet or anything, but I saw this still when skimming through AV's review:

All I can say is: LAME!
