"Casino Royale" is really good, Vi.

And, hopefully, you'll get to see the dancing penguins before too long.
Yeah, I got to see CR--Daniel Craig was great! :) Good flick. :)
(He was a thousand times better than Pierce, no offense Pierce, but I have no idea why they let him act in more than one Bond film--two is already pushing it. And he got FOUR???)

BTW, is this the right order?

Goldeneye (1995)

Tommorow Never Dies (1997)

The World is Not Enough (2002)

Die Another Day (2004)

I'm pretty sure that's right....I think.

Yeah, thanks WJ, I can't wait! :) I think they're coming in two weeks or so, so I'll let you know what I thought!
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

Yes on the Brosnan Bonds.

I really liked GoldenEye, very stark and like the books, and then loved Tomorrow Never Dies just for being the complete opposite: big, big, big!

TWINE was just boring...they got a drama director in Michael Apted who handles the dialogue and heavily emotional scenes well but has no clue on action, the result being that what should have been an exciting boat ride down the Thames is slow and laborious.

DAD...um...well, Bond had three things: the stunts, the gadets and the girls. DAD had Halle Berry, but not in a traditional girl role, and Rosamund Pike is - no offence - not a "looker" in the Bond girl tradition. Then we have the stunts, which were colored bland by having too much CGI and wire removal instead of what Bond used to be about: real guys doing the real stuff. And finally the gadgets, and Bond's...invisible car. Nuff said, suffice to say that DAD messed up the three main things that make up Bond.

Casino Royale...great beginning, great stunts, stark action (Martin "GoldenEye" Campbell again), semi-realistic gadgets and a couple of gorgeous girls...got it right, even though I found the film dragged badly after the mid-way mark and dissolved into a by-the-numbers climax in the sinking building. Screenwriters Wade and Purvis (from the last few films) need to be given a breather and get some fresh talent in.
