A lot of my purchases are blind buys. How else would I discover something new to like, right? :) And I'm always interested in seeing more from the early days of television. Even Clutch Cargo had its charms. I also have shows like Beany and Cecil and Roger Ramjet, and find them fun to watch.

Good point, Rand!

Gah, over the weekend I went to my local retailers to buy this, but no luck. :( The places I tried, were all sold out -- actually Best Buy had one, (in their system) but we couldn't find it. Rats! I'll try again soon.

Has anyone else bought it, though?

A new collection of old school Felix was released recently!

History's most famous cat has "kept on walking" for generations: from 1919 right down to the present day! But nobody drew him like his creator drew him—and here's your chance to meet New Jersey-born cartoon genius Otto Messmer for yourself! From Messmer's rare "Charley" Chaplin cartoons to the seminal FELINE FOLLIES (1919) and even some wild, inspired cat tales all-new to home video, we're bringing you a fully-remastered HD anthology worth its weight in catnip!

Two Formats in One: This combo pack includes both BluRay and DVD versions of the entire program, each on a separate disc. Whether you have a BluRay player or a DVD player, this is the pack to order—you will receive both formats

Cartoons included in this collection (all directed by Otto Messmer for the Pat Sullivan Studio):

CHESTNUTS (c. 1916)
CHARLEY AT THE BEACH (1919)
CHARLEY AT THE CIRCUS (1919)
FELINE FOLLIES (1919)
FELIX MAKES GOOD (1922)
FELIX IN LOVE (1922)
FELIX WAKES UP (1922)
FELIX MINDS THE KID (1922)
FELIX TURNS THE TIDE (1922)
FELIX LENDS A HAND (1922)
FELIX FIFTY-FIFTY (1922)
FELIX WINS OUT (1923)
FELIX TRIES FOR TREASURE (1923)
FELIX REVOLTS (1923)
FELIX STRIKES IT RICH (1923)

Extras! Booklet, archival galleries, and new music by Charlie Judkins

Featuring Films from the Stathes Collection
Got my copy the other day! Six of the shorts were released in an earlier Bosko set, however these are new restorations from better source material and improved score. The other nine cartoons are new to physical media. A few can be found on Youtube in terrible quality. If you're a fan of Felix, this is a must! :)

I have a copy coming through James and am eager to see the Chaplins that I’ve only read about a half paragraph about!

It's the Chaplin shorts I am most excited for, but the whole set sounds great. Ordering it soon!

The shorts look amazing! Really nice to see Felix in his prime. All around great collection.
