I couldn't actually sit through Eight Crazy Nights. I just found it repeditive and repungent.

And...how can you be a sequel fan??

Negatory. It will probably be released in early 2007, since I doubt it will come out before Christmas.

A sequel to Open Season, eh?

...So the first one wasn't bad enough?

Yeah, here's the article that talks about the sequel.

The first one was bad, but mainly because it was wrongly marketed. I guess I didn't mind as much, since I love stuff like Family Guy. Ah well.

The sequel does sound cute though, since I loved the weenie dog.

I don't really see how marketing affects the quality of a movie...Unless I'm missing your point?

A little. To be more specific, the movie wasn't bad because of the way it was marketed, but I do feel it was factor. With the on scene poop situation, and the language, none of which was present in the trailers; it just looked like a innocent little kid flick, like Ice Age -- which it was, to some extant. Ignoring that, the story was kind of lame.

Did that make sence? ;)

It makes a little more sense...Although I don't think it was a *huge* factor on the film.

You hate me!

I also don't think it was a huge factor, just a minimal one. Since it was more crude than I, and a lot of other people, were expecting.

I enjoyed the first one for what it was. As for a sequel, well, we'll see what they can do.

Here's a look at the cover art, courtesy of Amazon:

Not too bad, but I'm pretty sure Elliot lost his antler at the end of the first movie...

I'm still intrigued, though and hope the sequel turns out to be an improvement.

It could have been a lot worse. Even this managed to entertain me more than some other stuff out there - like Shrek.
Feature Animation Favorites:
 • Tekkonkinkreet, Watership Down, A Town Called Panic, Howl's Moving Castle, Rio 2096, Mind Game, Fantastic Planet

I enjoyed the first one too.

And I like Shrek for off topic.
