Nifty article on troubled animated productions

Post by droosan » June 23rd, 2009, 11:35 am

I stumbled onto an interesting article by Simon Brew on Den of Geek titled Six Animated Films That Had Massive Upheaval Mid-Production ..

The movies discussed are:

The Emperor's New Groove
Ratatouille
Toy Story 2
(and 3)
Bolt
The Black Cauldron
Tortoise vs Hare

with mini-paragraphs toward the end devoted to:

Dumbo
Lilo & Stitch
Aladdin
The Lion King
Shrek

It's perhaps not as 'in-depth' as some here might hope for .. but it's still worth a read, if you wanna check it out. Animated-Views even gets a mention, in the Ratatouille segment! 8)

As you say, a nice round-up summary of these films' production tribulations, and cool that we got a nod!

Of course, that title might well have been 100 Animated Films That Had Massive Upheaval Mid-Production, since I know of not one animated feature that has ever made it from "script" to screen without major tinkering.
