Looks like critic reviews are mixed.

Critic rt 46 Audience 86.
We have another venom, Jurassic world 6 and others again where critics didn't like it as much but audiences did.

Well…yeah.
It's "okay". It’s not terrible.
But…there’s too much of the kids and family dynamic stuff (yes, a bit Extreme GB, but this is supposed to be a GB movie). It’s great to see them all, but the original 'Busters really do look old. Danny has a main part but always seems being sidelined.
There's not nearly enough Murray, who eventually turns up to not do much. And it all feels quite small. They have the whole of NYC and yet it's mostly all in and around the firehouse, essentially on one set (that "settings" logo I linked above is indeed a tech support squad).
It's not exactly "disappointing", but it’s certainly not what it could be. In short, it's fragmented, lacks heart and didn’t bring the natural funny. Ironically, it's all just a little bit…lifeless.

Too bad. The trailer looked promising.
I still haven't seen Afterlife yet. Can't muster the enthusiasm. One YouTuber I watched last night (Jeremy Jahns) said the sequel should have been called Afterthought.

Afterlife was lovely and almost perfect. Hence the disappointment here.
