Cartoon Network Upfront
Cartoon Network has a ton of things on their schedule this year (http://www.animationinsider.net/article ... icleID=588)... This huge list of new greenlights, and acquisitions, and new shows looks to have doubled what was last year...
tba...
... And like any good year, perhaps 1 in 7 of these shows will actually be any good.
I predict at least half of them shouldn't have been greenlit, and a number of them won't still be on the air at any reasonable hour of the day within 2 years.
CN's track record for new shows just isn't good.
The sad part is that the shining lights (IMHO) of CN's schedule are reruns of Family Guy and Futurama on weekdays, late night Friday, and 8-9 PM on Saturdays.
The rest of the schedule is pretty much crap...
These observations are a big part of the reason why so many people miss classics like Looney Tunes and Popeye. They got exiled from CN to make room for all the newer crap that's repeated 5-6 times a day.
