Nick has listed it's new shows and ninja turtles, voltron, kung-fu panda and dragonball z are all part of it!

Whoa big news, new episodes and now Nick is the one airing them. I guess finally they will show something besides iCarly and Spongebob. ;P

Thanks for the update, can't wait to hear more information on their new shows. :D

All I want to know is, will they get Jack Black to play Po for the TV show? Even with a sound-alike, it would be pretty hard to do a good series without him IMO.

Note, gaastra, that the Dragon Ball Z Nicktoons Network is showing is actually "Dragon Ball Z KAI," the remastered and re-animated version that started in Japan in April of last year.

Nope. Mick Wingert will be providing Po's voice. He's the actor who did the voice in the video games. From what I've heard, he's actually not half bad. Pretty close to Black. I think he'll bring justice to the role.

There is a problem with all of this ---

It's on Nicktoons and not the regular Nickeloden channel carried on most basic cable services.

You have to have premium cable to get Nicktoons and Boomerang.

WIth my own budget crunch and dislike of having to buy a package that has channels I mostly don't watch, Nicktoons and Boomerang are not on the agenda for the forseeable future.

How many other households do you think do the same?

As for Dragonball Kai, it's just a re-edit and will appeal mostly to Dragonball Die-hards -- people who don't mind watching the show for the millionth time (!) and any newbies and kids who missed the endless re-runs on Cartoon Network during the time frame when anime was big in the US.

I don't really see Kai doing much for Nicktoons other than short-term ratings boost for its miniscule audience. It'll probably sell okay on DVD since the Dragon Die-hard seem to buy every reissue of the series!
