Top Ten TV Episodes

Post by eddievalient » July 14th, 2008, 2:00 am

We all have them. Favorite episodes that we watch more than others when we want a fix of a good show. So let's list them here! It'll be fun! Mine are, in no particular order:

1. X-Men: The Final Decision
2. As Told By Ginger: And She Was Gone
3. Star Trek The Next Generation: Best of Both Worlds
4. Tales from the Crypt: Cutting Cards
5. The Simpsons: Who Shot Mr. Burns?
6. Batman The Animated Series: The Demon's Quest
7. The X Files: Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose
8. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Becoming
9. Garfield's Halloween Adventure aka Garfield in Disguise
10. Ducktales: The Masked Mallard

Good list idea!

I had trouble coming up with just ten. (There are so many choices! :) ) Here are my picks:

1. Batman: The Animated Series - "Heart of Ice"
2. Arrested Development - "Pilot"
3. The Office (U.S.) - "The Injury"
4. The Twilight Zone - "To Serve Man"
5. I Love Lucy - "Ricky Asks for a Raise"
6. The Andy Griffith Show - "Barney and the Choir"
7. Taxi - "Memories of Cab 804"
8. Seinfeld - "The Alternate Side"
9. Superman: The Animated Series - "Identity Crisis"
10. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - "Papa's Got a Brand New Excuse"

I tried to include only one episode from a series. Otherwise, all of my picks would have been episodes of Batman, Arrested Development and The Office.

Yes, great idea eddie! :)

My ten faves: (no particular order)

1.) X-Men: Till Death Do Us Part, parts 1 & 2
2.) DuckTales: Nothing to Fear
3.) TaleSpin: Her Chance to Dream
4.) The Real Ghostbusters: The Thing in Mrs. Faversham's Attic
5.) Batman: The Animated Series: Perchance to Dream (So torn between this and Heart of Ice, Josh! :P )
6.) The Twilight Zone: Eye of the Beholder
7.) Star Trek: The Next Generation: All Good Things
8.) The Simpsons: Lisa's Substitute
9.) Dr. Who: (old series)--Caves of Androzani
10.) Futurama: I can't find the title, but it's the one where
Leela accidentally kills Fry, then has crazy nightmares about him, and then it turns out that she's in a coma and the whole thing is a dream, and that her dreams are the real Fry begging her to wake up.
EDIT: Actually for Batman I think I'll amend my choice, as great as that ep was, and choose Read My Lips, the one with the split personality ventriloquist guy. (But the other two are awesome as well.)

I'm fairly certain the name of that Futurama episode is "The Sting", Vi. :)

Yeah, I would have included a Futurama episode in my top ten, if I had remembered to do such. As for which one, it would have been either "The Sting," "Jurassic Bark" or "The Luck of the Fryrish."

Thanks for that, Dan. I think I saw that name listed but just didn't make the connection. :?

Those other Futurama episodes were good too. Another favorite of mine is the series finale where Fry wants to play Lila the perfect opera/song so he borrows the robot devil's hands.

Yes, I remember when that first aired, it was very sad knowing it would be the final Futurama episode. It's a very sweet episode.

Josh, I absolutely love "Jurassic Bark"! The last minute is so emotional.

Oh, here it is:

I kid you not, even though I've seen this multiple times, it still hits me. Just so powerful.

Wow. You're right, Daniel. Powerful stuff. One Piece has something like that during the Buggy arc and it's pulled off almost as well. There's just something about a guy and his dog (although personally, I'm a cat person).
