Simple - Disney AND Pixar didn't want the images to their new teaser getting out before folks could legitimately see them on the DVD.

Plus, for some, this new Cars teaser will be something that goes toward them buying the new set, so taking those images down protects their investment there so that those people will have to buy the set to see them. After all, seeing that number of images could damage sales to people who are gagging to see more of Cars.

Simple - nothing to do with the D/P relationship - just sales.

Steve Jobs is very well known for liking to keep his companies' projects secret. It seems to work well for him so I guess I won't complain much!

Hey, I don't even have the regular one. But if I do get one I think I'd get the tiny one. It's *cute*, ya know?

Wow! Those desert sequences in new Cars trailer look cool. But I really don't like colors of that Ramone character - so annoying, vivid, cheap colors... bleh
But generaly nice trailer, great visuals - I'm waiting for some hires (or maybe even HD) version from apple.com.

I'm going to assume that Ramone is supposed to look cheap like that on purpose :P

Anyway HOLY DAMN. This movie looks even BETTER now with this longer trailer. I can't wait!

Another early opinion:

But remember it's just an opinion and I'm actually really looking foward to this movie, even if it isn't perfect. I love the designs. (There's a more positive view on the top of the page from Mr. Fun)

Well... I know that he's supposed to look cheap, otherwise there is no reason for talented pixar artists to make him look like he looks and blowing up every visually balanced scene his participating in...

But I can really feel heart in that story and I like it :)

Yep. It's quite nice - I like it too, but there is something strange (not polished enough) to the right side of the veil - the transition between those tiny waves/ripples and bigger/thicker ones isn't totally convincing (to me). That is just small detail... but my expectations here are biger than average - after all it's Pixar we're talking about ;) Should claim all its praise hehe
