Okay, so that’s a fake, no? Absolutely no confirmation anywhere else, including our contact at Disney, so I’ve removed the link for now. Let me know where you found this or if you have any further confirmation, but I can’t see that this is legit for us to link to quite yet. :)

Huh! Yeah…much better source! Strange that when I emailed a Disney Home Vid contact earlier they had not had any details on this! As you said, such a random title to suddenly announce, and so soon a release too…! Here’s hoping they include the five-episode opening story arc that also aired as a TV movie and was actually pretty good as such!

Thanks for backing that up, Dan!

And yet, no DuckTales Blu-ray?!?!!? That show really needed a remastering.

DuckTales would be the "holy grail" of having on Blu-ray, so good was the quality of that show. The other ones I would definitely pick up on the format would be the criminally overlooked Wuzzles, and Gummi Bears, both again because they came early in WDTVA's life, when Eisner's "we can go to television, but we can’t look like s***" edict meant the shows still looked pretty great.

After DT and Rescue Rangers, when they started doing all the "sequel" series based on the feature properties, there was a marked reduction in quality, exemplified by what I called the "black marker" period, where character outlines were thick and the production methods pretty sloppy. Thins got better again when everything went digital, but then you’re getting into a whole new realm of what was/is "good" or not.

But Wuzzles, Gummis, DuckTales and probably Ch-Ch-Ch-Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers would make the cut for me for sure. Everything else is basically franchise extensions and filler, and then you may as well just start going out and collecting everything that’s ever been made, of decent quality or bad!

So rescue rangers and tangled the series getting blu-ray releases. Disney movie club releases. Ugh. So if you want them expect to pay a extra $30 on ebay for them.

Ah, so they *are* DMC exclusives. Makes sense. I can skip Tangled, but it would be niceish to have Ch-Ch-Ch-Chip 'n' Dale…IF they stick to the original 1.33 aspect ratio (unless a widescreen remaster opens up a 1.66 negative ratio). We shall see…

Chip 'n' Dale is not a DMC Exclusive:

And I doubt that Tangled is as well.

Groovy about Rapunzel! That series was incredible. Probably the closest to rivaling Aladdin as far as sequel series go. So many beautiful songs.

Is there a source on the Tangled news? I'd love that.

Also, we need a proper Darkwing Duck disc release with the complete series (including the "banned" episode).

The database at blu-ray.com can be edited by anyone:

If it's available at another site, it's not an exclusive.

So…is Fantasia 4K, like, twice as good as Fantasia 2K…?

I think it’s gonna be a while before that one comes out… ;)

Seems like Chip 'n' Dale will be a DMC Exclusive after all so I'm guessing Tangled will be as well, in that case I probably won't get it:
