Not sure when Cars opens here, but I'll see it.

According to an article I read, it opens up July 28. :)

To me a "buddy movie" of any kind involves two things: a "foil" relationship between different characters who seem to be "opposites" (like Woody and Buzz, Mike and Sulley) and eventually learn to get along.
It can also take the form of "pairings" with one character playing off another one in a humorous way.
You can’t just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!

If you've been collecting the Cars McDonalds toys, here's something important you might wanna pay attention to.

I went to a Mickey D's today and the guy told me they had Ramone, so I wanted to pay for 3 of them. When he pulled them out onto the counter, he gave me a GOLD RAMONE! I discovered that Ramone comes in different colors or "paintjobs". There was also a green Ramone in the display case.

So if you're serious about collecting, watch those Ramones!

I would also like to make a note that each car, no matter who it is, may have different eyes. In other words, they'll be looking in different directions.

One thing I just have to ask: Wasn't this film supposed to showcase the new Disney-Pixar-(Pixney?) logo--a lamp, Mickey, a new castle, something??? I didn't see anything new, just the 3d castle and the old hopping Luxo lamp.

Where is the new logo we've been hearing about?

It's probably too soon for the new logo.

And I like your Pixney name. ;)

It'll be interesting to see how the world reacts to that new logo.

You're right. Me and my sister both got Mater, and the only way I can tell the difference between the two is by their eyes.

Yep. It's cool how they're all kinda unique. It'll also make them sell better on ebay.

I got Doc Hudson this morning. :)

I'm talking about the new Disney/Pixar logo. Is it going to appear on all films, not just animated Emeryville or Burbank WDFA?

And I like your Pixney name. Wink

Thanks.

Speaking of names, anyone know how Pixar got theirs? The only clue I have is a type of format to save pictures with on Photoshop called Pixar.

I think it Lassetter's idea to make it combination of "Art" and "Pixels."
