I have to say this trailer really got me excited. It's obvious they are targeting this movie to adults and other people who grew up during the 2nd Disney Renaissance. Why else show images of the Fab Four? I think it's smart. They need to maximize the number of people who go and see this film, and it...

I'll check it out. I don't know if it will stick, but I'll give it a try.

I think I've done both. When it comes to live-action, I always opt for subtitles. When it comes to animation, it's all about what has been mentioned here. I watched Princess Mononoke in its original Japanese, but this was on DVD. When I watched Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle in theaters, I w...

I am sad to hear this. Mr. Deluise was always one of my favorite voice actors and I loved him in the American Tail movies.

surfnspy, I think you're right about animation and sci-fi. All the Sci-Fi animated fare hasn't done particularly well unless it is a comedy. I can think of The Incredibles and Lilo & Stitch as two sci-fi-infused successes, but both were mostly comedies. Treasure Planet, Final Fantasy, and Titan AE a...

I think that Delgo and Terra suffer from the same problem. I think that neither one provides interesting character designs to entice audiences. Both of them look like cheap, made-for-television animated films. I don't think it has anything to do with the genre.

I did enjoy Dexter's Lab. I remember when CN was coming out with their original shows. It was that and Johnny Bravo, which also ran for a long time.

I finally saw this last weekend and I enjoyed it. I didn't get to see it in 3D, but I didn't miss the effects. I can definitely see a television special for Halloween. That could be very entertaining.

Re: X-Men---- Really looking forward to watching these (my sets arrived today, though I have other priorities to get through first). I only caught random eps when they were broadcast, and was often lost in the middle of a 2-parter. It'll be nice seeing them all in proper order for the first time. I...

You know, I'm surprised no one has mentioned Daria. This was a super-popular MTV cartoon back in its heyday. I remember watching it and really enjoying it. I'm surprised that hasn't been released by Paramount.

Randall is right. I am trying to ascertain who currently owns the rights to these shows so I am aware that Spider-man was produced by Saban. I do generally like the show though. I thought it was very entertaining. Ben, thanks for the heads up on Back to the Future and Universal. I think I just got m...

Favorite Unreleased Television Cartoons

While writing my X-Men review, I came up with a question for everyone here in the forums. What are some of your favorite, as-of-yet unreleased television series (in season/volume sets)? I came up with a list of 10 that for me top the list, but there are so many more: 1. Muppet Babies (Disney) 2. Dis...

I liked the idea for this story, but I did not like the design for the aliens. I just could not take them seriously. I think the concept looked very good though.

I finally caught this over the weekend. I liked it, but found it a bit gratuitous at times (with the violence). It's not my favorite, and I of course loved the book much more than this. The ending worked for me and I understood why it differed from the book. Overall, a good job. Not excellent, but g...
