Re: Disney's Peter Pan and Wendy (Live-Action)

Everyone knows that Jane was the first Lost Girl anyway.

(I do non-ironically love how images from RTNL are constantly used by mistake on entertainment sites as “stills from the original”)

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

The D&D movie is really, really, really unintentionally funny though, especially with Jeremy Irons on "full crazy" mode.

And I'm sorry to say it took me this long to figure our that "Eragon" is "dragon" with an "E"...

Re: The "Best" of 2020

The film's screenwriter has said that the film's homosexual overtones (which he actually wrote as homophobic) were intentional. He denied it for years, but ironically confirmed it in the documentary you referenced. He also blamed star Mark Patton for making the film "too gay" with his performance, e...

Re: Avengers and the MCU

At the risk of being accused of being unable to grasp Eric's "irony", how on earth is it "sticking to it" for Disney to release a movie they've already made and spent millions of dollars on?

And, yes, I read his whole post.

Re: The "Best" of 2020

Adding a side story that didn't quite fit into my write-up, but is worth sharing as it was a positive that came out of 2020 for me. Back in 2016, documentary filmmakers came to Salisbury University and into my classroom for the production of Scream, Queen! --movie about Mark Patton, who was on Holly...

Re: Avengers and the MCU

FOUR Marvel movies over the span of six months? That's somehow both exciting and alarming at the same time. I mean, the box office still isn't "back"--even with some movies performing well during their openings, the extreme plunges (Mortal Kombat was down like 80%) they take the following week are k...

As the meme says, that’s not how this works.

Seth who? Oh, that guy....He's still alive?? [Dacey Irony-Deficiency Disclaimer: Yes. I know he is. Stand down.] Really not sure how he calls me the stalker... And literally no one at WB sits around going "what property did we not teach people to hate on Cartoon Network?" and uses that as the...

Bedrock: A Sequel to The Flintstones

Yabba-dabba-you-know-the-rest! The Flintstones are returning to television with a sequel series, set twenty years after the original with Fred on the brink of retirement: https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/flintstones-sequel-series-fox-elizabeth-banks-pebbles-1234961373/ I'm still curious if that doom...

Re: Demon Slayer The Movie Hit At Overseas Box Office!

Mortal Kombat is silly, dumb fun, and should be taken as such. Those anticipating a "darker and more serious" MK might be disappointed, as the much-hyped ultra-violent opening scene feels like it comes from a COMPLETELY different film, and is almost misleading in terms of telling the audience what t...
