Is it still running in Germany? It sounds pretty interesting--the director is James Lapine who wrote and directed 3 of my favorite musicals with Stephen Sondheim (Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park and Passion) as well as *the* ultimate gay musical Falsettos ;) He was an interesting choice for such ...

Meh I still find it pretty solid and a better read that most mainstream mo vie/tv based magazines (Premiere is only useful for the odd article). I agree that it's not what it was but I don't see a huge drop in quality--tho I still hate the "new look" with floating columns etc

It could well be that HBO are well aware of running the censored cut and that fan reaction will be to start discussing it online and ending up with having more copies of the uncut edition fly off DVD shelves! Isn't the uncut version supposed to be exclusive to DVD? The only reason I never pi...

You can't make a great film out of Superman Returns, PERIOD. There was no way to edit a film where just about every major element is horribly off-kilter. First off, unlike about 90% of the people who are fans of superheroes, I NEVER cared for the choice of Bryan Singer as director. He clearly has N...

Ya it'd definetly worth a double dip--while I don't necesarily think more graphic is better in this case the edited version is just like a neutered version of the real movie.

(I say that while never actually having seen the edited version :P )

Little Mermaid for Broadway is workshopping now with many new songs, I believe he's doing the Sister Act stage musical (save us all now), too

I am confused. I understood TFP to be taking its Russian roots literally. Sounds like someone has either gotten themselves mixed up with My Peoples, or that someone at Disney just won't let this slant die off! And, by the way, "Randy Newman's musical DEBUT"??? Well, I guess Ragtime (1981), Three Am...

People have to remember that American tial when it came out outgrossed EVERY past Disney movie-I think Before time did close to equal business. they were seen as serious threats. I don't have much of an interest in Ambilmation films post Bluth., though I do have a soft spot for Balto Why did they go...

Batwoman is my least fave of them--it didn't have direct involvement from Bruce Timms or any of the other people who did the "DC Animated Universe" (which refers for those who don't know to the DC animated series set in the same loose unvierse from Batman TAS thru to Superman TAS, Batman Beyond, and...

Yah rice is very hit or miss--Schwartz with his biblical leanings in musicals anyway (Children of Eden, Prince of Egypt, Godspell) woulda been a better fit. I saw some copis online for faily reasonable so will have to get it... Ya Christmas Carol is alright but I don't play it much--it comes off bet...
