Australia's DVD/Blu-Ray release has the UK dub on it. And it's the only English dub presented. I plan to sit down this weekend and watch it.

Is the Australian release region free by any chance? Got myself the barebones US release recently since that rather goodlooking UK release was Region B ...

Great news for all Ghibli fans! Amazon is taking pre-orders for Ghibli's "Castle in the Sky" and "Whisper of the Heart" BDs alongside "Arrietty". Amazon.ca lists the release date as May 22nd.

Optimum (UK) and Madman (Australia) have the rights to their other (mainly pre-Ghibli) films too (The Little Norse Prince, Castle of Cagliostro, Grave of the Fireflies, Ocean Waves), Disney doesn't.

Also, they are yet to release "Only Yesterday" across stateside, which was indeed a part of that ...

Its rather shameful that the real subtitles on Castle in the Sky were not included. Clearly they still want to force that terrible dub down everyone's throats inspite of all the flak they've been getting over the years for it. Lame.
