Yeah, another volume would be fine for me too. I'm sort of embarrassed of my Popeye knowledge. (The APP and UKF mistakes) Oops. I have a lot to learn. The KFS shorts are terrible. I could do without those too. But I just want to know how thorough this series will be. I'd imagine they will stop after...

I was at Best Buy (in Canada) yesterday and it has the three slim jewel cases too. Looks like Canada is getting a different set.

Has anyone received their amazon order? Which packaging did you get? I want the fold out packaging so amazon may be the route to go.

Yeah, you're both right. Popeye is a niche market. But the Looney Tunes collections are way more popular (IMO). Why are they the same price? Anime is a whole other ball game. My rule of thumb is ten bucks a disc. If it is a six disc set I feel that $60 is a reasonable price. So $60 for four discs is...

FYI: There is a different package of this set in some retailers. Here in Canada I have found this set at Superstore and HMV in a case similar to the King of the Hill sets (Three slim jewel cases) and the cover has no cutouts.

I was at the best buy in Bellingham, Washington today and they still had three or four of the tins. It looks nice but it takes up more room on my shelf and all the paint will get scratched off in no time.

I am peeved that the price is so steep. I may not be able to get this set for a little while.

This does look great! I can't wait to see it move! I especially can't wait because the only thing I've seen of the original shorts are the few that are in the public domain! Yipee!

Ben! Check it out!

Go to www.woodywoodpecker.com! They have a bunch of new info on the set including disc contents! No Flipper Discs!

They've also got downloads, videos, and photos. A great way to wet your appetite until the set arrives!

The song that was linked by George C is by a band called Deceptibot. It was rumoured to be the movie theme by its not. It is a big joke.

The real movie theme is by Mute Math and can be found here:
