Re: WB Archive Collection: DVDs On Demand!

Got my copy on Tuesday and have already watched it all! Simply incredible. The sound and quality will make anyone dance with glee. :D https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IZ0UWdspVP4/XC-qpmI39LI/AAAAAAABSHg/voo1l4EBacE-gRYZwmlIR1B7PmRPwFRKQCLcBGAs/s400/PEACHY%2BCOBBLER%2B%25285%2529.png (Wasn't sure if "The ...

Re: Disney retro-VHS collection announced

That one was TOO plausible--The "We still love VHS!" cult is getting a little too preciously vocal, and it's very believable that Disney would try to fawn to them with 90's sentimentality, without really understanding the mindset behind the trend. Whew, just keep telling yourself, it's only a joke...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Last night, I started A Song is Born while on the treadmill. What a great Danny Kaye movie, It's... okay , but it's no Court Jester. (Which is also now starting to resurface on streaming, esp. PlutoTV, as one of the abandoned Paramount Orphans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zIWcCvQNqQ ) Even tho...

Trump's already backed off of Easter, unless Easter is on the 30th this year.

Which should coincide nicely with the weather turning warmer (the virus doesn't transport well over certain temperatures) which Trump will undoubtedly take credit for too.

Also, I DO agree that in many ways, Q might as well be “magic”, but I also think it’s important to mention that his race is so advanced that his powers only SEEM magical to us. I never did read that one spinoff novel where Q tries to get Picard's help against another renegade Q still calling himsel...

Wait, Blue Falcon has a black female sidekick now, TOO?

(Granted, I never watched much of the original toon at the time, any more than I watched Captain Caveman & the Teen Angels...C"mon, Warner, as long as you're kissing up to the 70's Archive fans, couldn't we have them, too?)

And Warner, of course, has Inception. But Disney has a very vested interest in seeing Chinese theaters re-open again, if they don't want "Mulan", "Black Widow" and "Shang-Chi" to go straight to D+. (And wait, what happened to "Theaters are down!", and then "They liked Wandering Earth better!"...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Desperate shoppers not desperate enough for certain foods! I've seen the same local stores literally emptied of fresh and rotisserie chicken, where no one has even TOUCHED the pork chops and ribs. I've found some great next-day reduced-for-quick-sale bargains. I don't know why the chicken thing, I'...

Another shockingly not-terrible scene from Schumacker’s Batman and Robin. (Bruce begging an injured Mr. Freeze for the cure for Alfred’s disease during the film’s finale.) And...quickly destroyed by the Winking Akiva Goldsman Screenwriter Pop-Culture-Ref Gag. (Remember when we used to blame ...

My game-designer nephew got me--a lone-game player since the days of Sega Genesis--interested to take Blu-ray discs out of my Playstation 4 long enough to get hooked on this, and now nobody beats me as Sigma, Widowmaker or D-Va. (Although, on a nasty streak, I prefer Symmetra.) One of the biggest ap...

With Universal doing the same for Trolls, they didn’t have much choice. Well, for Universal and Trolls, I'll stick to the bull conspiracies-- Simply because Universal--not Disney, not Sony, not even WARNER--has been inexplicably obsessed with the idea of "Someday, we'll be able to stay home and wat...

Every time I've gone they've been sold out of what I like, been living off of soup and rice. Canned soup? You need a crockpot. Your freezer will fill up with leftovers very quickly, for times like these. Can I just ask what the thing is with loo rolls and eggs? Why can’t we find any loo rolls and e...

Although even that pales before the most bizarre of them all: Gravitas' "Haunted Transylvania 2" (& 3) Now, from the title, let alone the cover, you'd expect some reasonable knockoff of Adam Sandler's Dracula--Oh, but you'd be wrong ... What we get--billed in the description as "video wallpa...

Nothing wrong with a little passion. Although, nothing wrong with a little punctuation, either. :? 'man in space" "mars and beyond" is coming. Yeah, I'm wondering if their Disney Treasures sets are starting to get some rights issues, and that's why we didn't get Walt's Darby O'Gill episode. Still, ...

Re: Well, at least you’re not watching...

I think it wouldn't have sunk into legend so much if the people making it had actually seen the film and thus found out what Ratatouille WAS? (Uh, it wasn't the character's name?) Anyway, this is the late, unlamented Brazilian company (in the land of sun and heat) that's since gone under. Most curre...
