Re: Disney's Peter Pan and Wendy (Live-Action)

Not familiar with her. Wonder if Tink will talk like in her spin-off movies. Bet on it. Although, if Disney remembered they still had a Disney Fairies franchise, they'd have remembered they already HAD a token black Tink-friend fairy: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/BtonUoXi7mN4fmngLLpDjywH...

Ryan Reynolds is being considered. Hard to imagine him as Milo...
Did it say whether they were considering him for Milo, or for a new wisecracking ethnicity-free Vinnie?

The giant ROBBER crab. (Although a giant rubber crab would be worth tuning in for.)

Re: Disney Movie Rewards

So--like their once troubles with Studio Ghibli--Disney doesn't have a problem with 3D, just in the US.
Gee. Wonder how THAT happened.

It's a Communist country--Never underestimate cutesy non-political wisecracking CGI animals in fantasy settings.

Re: Disney Movie Rewards

3D was dead before it even started. 3D Blu-rays are not enough to sustain the 3D "industry", you actually need TV content in order to do that and since there wasn't any then 3D television sets weren't sold thus making the films not sell. No, Disney wanted to bury 3D PERSONALLY . It had always been ...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Why are people so against Premier Access? It's going to be either that or constantly postponing films for the next year or two. I'd rather have Premier Access than having nothing at all. Here's a cookie: You can have it now for $5, or I'll give it to you for free if you can wait till after supper, ...

Re: Mulan (Live-action remake)

Because one of their OWN movies, "The Eight Hundred", continued to be a bigger draw! Gasp!...Is this an indication that China continues to like its own big-budget history epics better than big custom-crafted CGI foreign blockbusters?? Next, you'll be saying they liked "The Wandering Earth" better th...

Re: Disney Movie Rewards

I suspect this is another hint (after their deciding "no more" live-action 4K's) that Disney is doing another Blu3D on 4K UHD, telling the industry that, quote, "everyone knows" it didn't catch on, and quickly bailing on their past releases. Which isn't good news hoping for those finally curious abo...

Re: Avengers and the MCU

No, this was (before the Virus screwed with studio-production schedules) supposed to come out in tandem with "Dr. Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness", and help establish, er... one of MCU's last-ditch Phase IV ideas, alternate universes. Y'know, like the kind in "Terminator: Genisys" and the JJ Abrams...

Re: Avengers and the MCU

Like there's not ENOUGH passive-aggressive low-hanging generational-shame sitcom "parodies" on streaming today that wallow in feminist June Cleaver jokes without ever having seen an actual vintage sitcom in their lives. (Now they have to do double-duty trying to get MCU Phase IV started as well, so ...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

For my week of Halloween viewing, there are some in-between cartoons that are annual traditions: Bugs Bunny and Witch Hazel in "Broomstick Bunny", "Transylvania 6-5000", or the Pink Panther in " Pink Panic ", and...now I don't have to go searching on YouTube to find Donald & his nephews, that isn't ...

Let’s hope there’s less filler episodes (roughly half!) than before...
It's 21st-cty. TV. Nobody writes "episodes" anymore, they write long serialized setups to a Shocking Season Finale.

Filler is now a fact of nature.

Re: The NEW Muppet Movie

Just brilliant. I have a fun Ms Rigg story to share sometime, in connection to the filming of Great Muppet Caper. She was a very kind and understanding lady. RIP. I'd like to hear it: Either it was an extreme example of Mrs. Peel-esque flipness, or I remember thinking Rigg just seemed bored onscree...
