Re: What if Richard Rich returned to Disney?

If Richard Rich was such a long-time veteran animator at Disney, then why is his work in general considered mediocre? If he directed The Fox and the Hound , wouldn't he have the potential to do wonders in animation? And TF&tH is an example of a NON-mediocre Rich film?? (I certainly don't recall tha...

Re: Disney brings back the cartoon short

Oh, WHEW--They're going back to their National Treasure "How To Hook Up Your Home Theater" well for pandemic jokes.

I opened the thread just gritting my teeth that they were going to try and double-down on the Disney Channel Ugly-Mickey shorts, for Parks synergy. >_<

They (or at least the NGC half) wants what cable had...Shark Week. But there, the operative word was "WEEK".

Re: Why did Alpha and Omega get a fandom?

About the only "fandom" I've ever seen of it is the Furry fandom that seems to latch on to the 90's Wannabe era for identifiable characters, and...that's a whole different category.

(Personally, thought the wolves in "Sheep & Wolves" were hotter, but...ahem, from what I hear, anyway. )

Re: Space Jam 2

Just got back from the theatres. Didn't think it was that bad. Not the best movie in the world but the family liked it and enjoyed watching it. Nice to see bugs bunny in theatres again. And especially resembling Bugs, unlike the original Jam, that Joe Dante thing, or even those now-airing made-for-...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Quiz Show is a fantastic film...but it also isn't exactly an accurate take on what happened. It paints some of the TV executives as though they were mob bosses when in reality they had very little if no involvement with the scandal. Don't get me wrong, I love the film. But the "we're going to take ...

Re: Coronavirus (Covid-19)

What's wrong is that I saw a lot of people in the 90's/early-00's who became burned out on CNN, said "The crazy terrorists and bible-thumping Bush administration are going to kill us all! ", put three locks on their doors, and--worst of all--went out to find someone to BLAME for it all scaring them....

First Cruella, and then BttF...We need to keep a running Ben-quotes-TGMC count by the end of the year.

And I'd seriously drop the "Atheism is the key to solving the world's problems!" shock-the-teacher jazz, as I've never met a non-neurotic one. EVER . I agree, it's time to stop wringing hands, and start opening mouths, preferably to someone professional who can listen. Quit taking your own personal ...

Ah, Man of the House... If there was one argument for the prosecution and death-penalty for early 90's Sado-Masochistic Adult-Torture Home Alone Knockoffs. (And no, not even "Big Fat Liar".) And I'm guessing Big Green, aka "Goalies Got 'Nards" won't get another next-generation 20's Mighty Ducks-Knoc...

Re: Disney Pixar's Turning Red

And, okay, what’s wrong with Big Hero 6, except that it wasn’t what you wanted it to be? I remember seeing Stan Lee at a comic market, just after Roger Corman bought Marvel, bragging about all the film production he wanted New World to get into, fresh off the Dolph Lundgren "Punisher": He wanted a ...
