Re: What happened with Crest Animation?

Well, I know you want to just let the "toothpaste" joke drop, but don't sound so crestfallen.

Re: Enchanted

And bringing Princess Tiana "back" still doesn’t make sense. How can you bring Princess Tiana "back" when she eve er existed before? I’m trying to keep up but then you do talk such bollocks! (Bringing...princesses...back...WITH Tiana. There. I now rule that this horse's cause of death was due to re...

Re: Enchanted

The animation about how she got there? Sure had. Nothing wrong with that. It's just the live-action script afterwards that needed a little......... retheming once they got to production in the redraft/reshoots. (And hey: Nothing wrong with liking the film we got. Just don't raise any banners or pay ...

Re: Enchanted

Yes, via bringing John Musker & Ron Clements back out of "exile", and granting full-pardon status, just to prove the point. Do try to keep up.

Re: Enchanted

Animated Views. Fact-checking Eric Janssen's posts since 2007! ;) And I was reading Jim Hill's Disney history site since 2005: The Enchanted we got was very, very, very, VERY much not the one from the first script treatments, from the days when Michael Eisner was bending over backwards to the Shrek...

Re: Enchanted

So based on those photos. I'm gonna going out on a limb and say the story will involve around people from Andalasia (that's the animated world right?) crossing over into our world and causing chaos. Yep, we were already a long way from the Eisner-era "Punish stupid princesses, and make them marry a...

Re: Disney's Christopher Robin

So, Disney doesn't have a lock on animated Pooh anymore? Or did it expire after the '11 movie?

Re: Live Action Little Nemo

I remember, back in the 80's silver-ball "educational" days of Nickelodeon, their old "Lights, Camera, Action!" series would run behind-the-scenes making-of featurettes (until those started to dry up in the cineplex era, and seemed like they showed the one from "The Keep" twice a month)-- One of the...

Re: SPIDEY 4 becomes AMAZING becomes Marvel's SPIDER-MAN

(Uh, Michael Keaton is supposed to be cleaning up salvaged alien technology from the NYC Avengers/Endgame battles, and that's the "new" MCU reason why he calls himself the Vulture. Good luck writing that into the Garfield-verse, Sony, but how....oh, never mind, it's Sony, they're gonna bluff their w...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Fortuosity and Let's Have a Drink on It are two great Disney songs from the 60's/70's Shermans, and the fact that they're at the beginning and end of the movie let you skip most of the dire middle. I tried watching the Roadshow version, and counting the minutes of actual dialogue between Sherman num...

Ooh, I kinda like it that the Venoms take place in the Garfield-verse, but how does that explain the Keaton cameo...!?
Where he's using technology taken from the Whedon-verse, and retcon-naming himself after that?

Re: Is the future of animation hopeless?

Sad to say, but it's time to finally get out of the 00's. (You remember, when the wave of 90's Disney-renaissance Wannabes became the cable-network Rugrats Bubble, and when that imploded, nobody knew why Shrek was suddenly so popular?) DreamWorks "made it look so easy" for pumping out sitcom-CGI, be...

Re: Avengers and the MCU

Still tremendous underwhelmed for this. It’s all too Salt and Red Sparrow-ish, Yeah, Red Sparrow didn't sound ANYTHING like "Black Widow", did it? Good thing they avoided confusion by using the exact same "ballet school" cover story for the KGB assassin program! (If more people had read actual Marv...
