Re: Disney's Frozen

'and a sing-along version with lyrics to the film’s forever-infectious songs.' Wow that is marketing at its lying best. Daniel - you can preview the deleted songs on iTunes by checking out the deluxe edition of the soundtrack. Personally, I found the majority better than what was chosen. They were m...

Re: Titanic

I agree with Ben, when dealing with a real event its hard not to plagiarise from a previous film that covers the same event. It's more on an issue when it's a film based on a piece of fictional work. I remember seeing Peter Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring and thinking this scene looks familiar a nu...

Re: DISNEY BUYS 20TH CENTURY FOX

I guess its no different to pop culture references that date movies and TV shows within 5 years of them being released. I actually think it's a clever strategy cause even when Disney didn't own 20th Century Fox I was often confused with how you could have 'conservative' Fox News and 'liberal' Fox Te...

Re: Mulan (Live-action remake)

As much as I enjoy the songs from the animated classic and Mushu's antics I think I'm actually at peace with their decision. A lot of my problems with all of Disney's remakes of their 90s properties is the beat by beat reproduction of the original movie which always reminded me of the superior anima...

Re: Disney's Frozen

I'd love it if Disney could physically release the score like they have for all their other animated movies. Like they did for the original Frozen before releasing a Song only version. I am normally a person who buys the soundtrack on the first day but I still haven't picked Frozen II up (as a physc...

Re: Weathering With You English Dub Trailer!

*sarcastic voice* Because it's a conspiracy involving Hollywood not wanting the public to know that hand drawn animation is still appealing to adults, computer animation is the only medium allowed for American adults.

Re: Ladybug and Cat Noir Big Screen Movie In The Works!

I enjoyed watching this series with my godson whenever he was watching it while I was visiting. He did have to explain the basic concept behind it initially haha. That song is so many levels of awesomeness. I know they will change the words but musically it's fantastic. That one song beats everythin...

Re: Official Star Wars Thread

You know the part of Rise of Skywalker that disappointed me the most? Three Pio's demise. I found that section more poignant and emotional in the trailer. The trailer presented it like Three Pio made the decision himself to end his life. The fact he was forced to do it against his will in the movie ...

Re: Oscar Nods for Anmated Films 2020!

While I don't think Dragon 3 is the best of the trilogy I must admit that the ending was very satisfying. Well the ending and the epilogue. But I admit my judgment is probably clouded from very personal reasons to the story as a whole and what it meant to me. And since Disney needs a nod every year,...

Re: Oscar Nods for Anmated Films 2020!

I have Missing Link sitting by the player ready to watch and I guess I should now watch Klaus on Netflix, even though Christmas is over. I'm kinda happy that Frozen II didn't get a nom. Really surprised that Newman's Toy Story song got a nom but thrilled Beyoncé's name didn't help that terrible Lion...

There is also an ad where Robert Downey Jr is auditioning animals for the roles using previous movies. ie Jaws. But as I type I'm wondering if I saw that in the cinema

Re: Dr. Doolittle

I see to get an ad every second ad break while watching Pay TV, although every time I see the ad I can't share the feeling that the movie is going to do little at the box office.

Re: Disney's Frozen

I don't even know why When I Am Older is in the movie. I mean I know why, Olaf needed another song, but it is just so random in its placing, contributes absolutely nothing extra to the plot except instead of Olaf talking about getting older he sings about getting older. That's actually a problem I h...

Re: Weathering With You English Dub Trailer!

I look forward to catching this when it gets it's DVD release. I really enjoyed Your Name. That's one of 2 anime movies (the other Arrietty) I recommend to friends who are resistant to 'crazy' anime. To show them that anime is accessible to them. And as an aside, I've become more interested in seein...

Re: Disney's Frozen

Even though Frozen II has been given the crown of animation's biggest earner at the box office I feel the original movie had more cultural impact. When it was released songs were all over the web and on the various charts. I couldn't get on the web without some Frozen related article/video appearing...
