Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

I've never seen it so can't answer your question Ben, all I know is The Fault In Our Stars began the trend in Hollywood (and also publishing) where every Young Adult story, involved one of the love interest having some form of incurable disease.

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Just my two bits. I happily paid the price for Onward when it was VOD before it was moved onto Disney+ (for free). So cost isn't really the issue. My main issue really is that in order for me to watch Mulan (early) my only option is to sign up to Disney+ AND then pay on top of that. I understand fro...

Re: Academy Museum to include Studio Ghibili Area!

I'm confused Eric, the article clearly mentions "Howl" by name, so how is the Academy ignoring it?

Re: YouTube Goodness

The new movies are very enjoyable. Took me by surprise. The first one is better than the second one. I really appreciate how they linked the recent movies to the original one so it doesn't feel like a reboot for reboot sake. Definitely worth checking out.

Re: Disney's Raya And The Last Dragon

So glad you said that Dacey cause I was feeling really bad that when I saw the announcement of the change in voice actor my first thought was - 'I guess Cassie's name wasn't 'Asian' enough for advertistments'. When the project was first announced I looked up Cassie on Wikipedia cause I thought Disne...

Re: YouTube Goodness

No need to get Disney+ to see what all the fuss is about over Hamilton. Plus it's all over in under 5 minutes.

And yes the song is 2 years old, but the video is only a little over a month old.

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Artemis Fowl's budget was apparently $125 million and Disney was happy to put in on Disney+ for 'free' and that's one reason why people are angry or upset. Also I know Onward was released in cinemas (and got 2 weeks there) but it got thrown onto Disney+ with no additional charge. I know it's Disney'...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

I think that's why the news of charging for Mulan has left a sour taste in my mouth. Why is the company happy to dump some movies that were going to theatres without charge but then want to charge for Mulan. I understand the business side of the decision I really do, but it does just comes across as...

Re: Disney Renaissance 2/Disney Revival

Frozen is The Lion King of the new stuff for me. They are popular with the general population and the default movie to watch and sing songs from for many. For me, however, I prefer the movies that were released before and after it a lot more. Not saying they are bad but I prefer to watch Beauty over...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Thanks everyone for your insights into if Kingdom of the Sun could technically be created from the ashes. You confirmed what I was thinking but really appreciate the inside knowledge.

Re: Mulan (Live-action remake)

That song is probably the best of the new songs from the remake series. Shame it isn't about another 30 seconds longer. Before Disney decided to dump Mulan on Disney+ I had been thinking about the situation songs like Loyal Brave and True and No Time To Die and the Oscars were in. They were all rele...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

Just while KOTS/TENG is being discussed and I don't want to derail the Disney+, technically if Disney decided to one day complete KOTS (you know just for me) and throw it up on Disney+ and money and time wasn't a issue etc. Could it be done? I've watched Sweatbox but I can never tell exactly how muc...

Re: New Disney Streaming Service: Disney+

All I know is this news still isn't enough to make me sign up to Disney+. However having access to the Howard Ashman documentary is.
