Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)

I'm taking it serious but it's so hard for me to feel like something serious is happening when I am required to still go to work. Admittedly my school has seen numbers drop from 750 down to 50 since the Premier had more balls than the Prime Minister to say 'Children are not required to go to school,...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Can I just ask what the thing is with loo rolls and eggs? Why can’t we find any loo rolls and eggs!?!!? I know here in Australia, the initial panic on loo paper was a result of misinformation that all our toilet paper was made in China and China was closing their borders. So buy now or you ...

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)

I feel like I'm living in some form of Bizarro World everyone is living in a COVID world, while I'm not. I have my government telling me all these instructions to reduce the spread. Stay at home, limit the amount of people in one place etc but yet they have kept schools open meaning I still have to ...

Re: Disney's Frozen

That HISHE video really highlighted to me why I lack any enthusiasm to give the movie a second watch.

It's only a recent blockage as I was able to watch it yesterday (my time) and now it's blocked today (my time)

Re: Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast

Still not enough to get me to sign up to the service. I am quite happy to think Gaston is a narcissistic, misogynistic, egotistical buffoon. I don't need his background sob story to justify his behaviour. I hated the PTSD backstory in the live action movie. I also don't need a backstory for LeFou wh...

Re: Mulan (Live-action remake)

I am quite impressed. I like the cultural references in the music, the reference to the story (in fact in sounds like an alternate possibility to the original Reflection especially the reference to the water). Even the parts that sound Eurovision-y don't distract from the song. It's not instantly me...

Re: my hero academia Heroes Rising 3rd place in american box office

This is all just hypothesizing but I wonder if its because of the hit and miss of anime at the the US Box Office. For every success there is a movie that doesn't connect. I understand the success of Dragonball and My Hero Academia as they have a built in audience - BUT sometimes TV and DVD success d...

Re: Mulan (Live-action remake)

Oh God! I tremble at Christina re-recording that song. Since the original recording she has learnt how to screech and wail and trill over a tune. I'm happy they got her back, like how they got Celine back for Beauty and Elton for Lion King, but that doesn't mean I'm looking to her re-interpreting th...

Re: Back to the Future

OK so dumb question cause on first watch I didn't get it. In the preview pic I can see the new actors, but in the clip I cannot. Have they just CGI Tom and Robert onto the body's and kept the voices? I did Tom and Robert act this out mouthing the words. I am so confused.

Re: Top five FAVORITE movies? (Can include animation)

(And, yes, I mean the guy in the dress from "Battle of Five Armies". For a start .) There is?? And I think the main issue with the Oscars at present is the expansion of the Best Picture category. Mainly because it seems the voters believe that every pic nominated for Best Pic needs to be recognise ...

I hadn't heard the term BatDad but I did feel BatFleck's suit did make Batman look chubby instead of muscly.

Re: Disney Renaissance 2/Disney Revival

The way I've interpreted the story is that the issue from Disney is that the movie was shown during a fundraiser. If a teacher has decided to show the movie during a regular lesson, Disney wouldn't have cared. Mostly because there wouldn't have been any for of paper trail to bring it to their attent...

I agree Ben, why go backwards when we have an already existing forward story that has never been explored on film.

Re: Charlie & the Chocolate Factory

Is the world really demanding to know about Wonka before the Factory? Isn't that part of the appeal of the character in the original story - the unknown makes him mysterious. I'm so tired of Hollywood wanting to explain the origin of every character.
